Wow. The five charter officers are doing a bang-up job for the city of Sandusky, according to the personnel evaluation forms recently completed by city commissioners. It's as if there was no housing scandal, no police department issues, no firefighters threatening to shoot the fire chief.
NOTE: Retired Lorain County Common Pleas Court Judge Joseph Cirigliano did not sentence a woman hell-bent on making Erie County Prosecutor Kevin Baxter uncomfortable to eight years in prison. Judge Richard Markus sentenced Elsebeth Baumgartner.
This is what I heard today: City officials are moving toward a deal for a new city hall in downtown Sandusky. Although I've not gotten official confirmation the info comes from a reliable source, and it's worth sharing.
City commissioner Craig Stahl was almost breathless when he read a letter to commission Monday from Erie County Prosecutor Kevin Baxter refuting the importance of another letter Baxter sent last week to Don Icsman and Matt Kline that stated the Murman report contained factual inaccuracies.
The last paragraph from the Murman report executive summary recommends Kim Nuesse not be reinstated as Sandusky police chief "unless the city is prepared for the wholesale replacement of the command and support staff."
The official word from the Tuesday afternoon closed-door Sandusky city commission meeting: Commissioners and the public both will receive the $20,000++ Murman report on the Nuesse investigation at noon Wednesday.
Below please find a comment posted this morning at sanduskyregister.com. This is just one among several "leaked" allegations I've heard previously about my alleged nefarious involvement in Nuesse-gate.
