It is official — summer break has started. 

Most children are thrilled by the end of the school year, looking forward to sleeping in, having fun and, most importantly, no homework.

Funded by the federal government, the program ensures kids will continue to have food available to them when school is not in session.

Sheriff's deputies patrolling Erie County are now equipped with bodycams, in response to a national mandate to better equip officers for their own protection, and the public's.

There isn't a down side to adding video surveillance this way.
