Best Buy, Wal-Mart, Kohl's and Toys 'R Us are probably the most exciting and extended lines to wait in during Black Friday. And believe me, I have seen quite a few of them since working as a photographer at the Register. People wait for as long as 30 hours to get their "deal of the year."

Sometimes my job as a photojournalist can take me to some crazy places. I've had my head out the top of the Tin Goose while taking photos, numerous rides at Cedar Point on Media Day and even the control booth inside the Sandusky Coal Docks.

On Saturday, I went with five other Sandusky Register journalists to a Society of Professional Journalists conference in Columbus. It was our day off. The paper covered our registration fees, but we covered our own food, lodging, bar tab, etc.

Mills Creek Golf Course hosted the Michelle Keegan Memorial Golf Outing Saturday. Michelle Keegan, 36, died almost two months ago after a sudden illness. She was a 1990 graduate of Sandusky High School with her twin sister Dana.
