My mom was in town over the weekend so I took her to one of the hottest tourist spots in Erie County — the eagle nest at the Old Dutch Tavern in Perkins Township.
Sorry for not updating lately. I've got about a half dozen stories I'd like to tell, but to be responsible they have to reach some point of conclusion. One of which is the Hacker story. I think it's an interesting story because it shows how unresponsive the city is when a citizen complains. T
A few weeks ago the Register ran an editorial about potential leaders in Sandusky. They went through the list of possible candidates for November's election. Nowhere in the article did they mention the idea that Sandusky doesn't just need leaders. They need good leaders.
Thank God for caring people, who are willing to do more than talk.
Despite the difficult economic times, there are individuals and businesses interested in helping the less fortunate who cannot afford to help themselves.

I have had another pretty good week. Exercise-wise, I had two weight/cardio workouts with my personal trainer Trevor Tieche of Bodi N Balance and he wrote another workout that I did on my own. I also did two extra cardio/core workouts on my own.
First things first, I would like to address the negative comments that have been recently posted on my blog. I’m not sure whom you are, but I do not accept or appreciate the negative energy you are sending my way.
Let's say that you're a homeowner in Sandusky and you recieve a letter from the local zoning board which explains that your neighbor has applied for a variance to modify his property. You learn that your neighbor is seeking to raise the level of his property and install a 6 ft.
When I get lunch at my favorite Sandusky Thai lunch joint, Jo Wok, I usually ask for chicken. Today, I asked for pork when I put in my order for spicy red curry.
Considering that taking care of city streets is one of the most basic city services tax dollars can pay for, one wonders why this is suddenly a priority. If Sandusky has money to spend on "economic development" the streets should be in tip top shape.
In case you missed it, the Perkins Township trustees named Ken Klamar as their new chief of police on Tuesday night. He was sworn in to a packed audience including his family, friends and fellow officers.
