As you already know, this week I am in Florida. I am having a good time here.
It is nice to get away sometimes. I was not expecting any loss this week due to the fact I was looking forward to enjoying some of the foods down south.
Sandusky native Jay Cooke didn't win the Civil War by himself, but he did contribute to the Union's victory by helping to finance the North's war effort, according to "The Battle Cry of Freedom," the Pulitzer Prize-winning history of war by James McPherson.

I had my family over to my house this year. It made me laugh because my beverage was bottled water with your choice of Crystal Light packet. I thought that was funny.
This past week went pretty good. Tuesday, the 19th I worked out with Derek Nimrichter. We did some different things, like a drill that I had to do six different exercises in a row from 10 all the way down to one; it was rough but I got though it.
I recently read Ty Roth's "So Shelly," a novel that's set in Sandusky. (The city is slightly fictionalized as "Ogontz," but it's clear where the setting is.) Roth is a local teacher.
I had a really good week. I am only down another 2 pounds but feeling great. I am finally going to retire my old work pants. They look terrible and I was swimming in them.
