I thought California congresswoman Nancy Pelosi was the speaker of the U.S. House, but apparently she is acting more like an empress instead.
A new report from the watchdog group, Judicial Watch,uses documents obtained using Freedom of Information Act requests to illustrate the high-handed way Pelosi has been treating the U.S. Air Force as her personal airline.
An excerpt from the report:
"In response to a series of requests for military aircraft, one Defense Department official wrote, 'Any chance of politely querying (Pelosi's team) if they really intend to do all these or are they just picking every weekend? .... There's no need to block every weekend 'just in case.' ' The e-mail also notes that Pelosi's office had 'a history of canceling many of their past requests.
"One DOD official complained about the 'hidden costs' associated with the speaker's last minute changes and cancellations. "We have .... folks prepping the jets and crews driving in (not a short drive for some), cooking meals and preflighting the jets etc."
Has the leadership in Congress forgotten that midterm elections will be held in 2010?

In my opinion, Nancy Pelosi is probably one of the biggest liars in Washington, as speaker of the house she has not done one thing that showed she had an intelligence level above point 0.0
She was going to empty the swamp, SHE DIDN'T.
She is abusing her authority, her power, and is abusing the fact that she can fly on government aircraft whenever she pleases and then has the audacity to cancel flights after the planes are ready to leave the ground. Sounds to me like a liar in the making.
