Jail was home to 4-term sheriff's family

This week on the Sandusky History blog, a review of former Erie County Sheriff Alton Young's years of service from 1948 to 1964.

While in office, he formed a "posse" of volunteers who helped with searches for suspects and missing persons.

His family also lived at the jail.
