Wow! I must say that I am flabbergasted by your statement. I am not quite sure how you came to that conclusion, but the great thing about America is you are entitled to your opinion even if it lacks any trace of validity. I would, however, encourage you to delve further into your studies of our current and previous presidents' policies before making hasty decisions and comments.

Brutus, I would appreciate it if you show some class and address me by my actual username. I am afraid that this childish game of name calling has become so second nature in the political arena that people accept it as appropriate. Unfortunately, you are demonstrating a major concern I have with politics today. Secondly, I do not think that Reagan, Bush Sr. or Bush Jr. carried on Carter's policies. I was merely pointing out how ridiculous your previous comment was that grouped Reagan, Bush Sr., Clinton and Bush Jr's policies together.

I noticed that you said President Obama is trying to repair 30 years of damage. I am surprised that you did not include four additional years to make it a 34 year downturn that Obama is so courageously attempting to fix--considering the horrible condition our country was left in by President Carter.

To all the Liberals that Bush "Supposedly" broke.  He sure didn't cost you enough.  You still have most of  the jobs that continus to lead us into bankruptcy: teachers, government workers, newspaper reporters, most TV stations, radio shows; plus you have enough money to buy computors and post negativity on anything you don't agree on.  You post a series of negative comments about Conservatives and the Tea Party while supporting Foreign Governments and the killing of innocent Americans.  You honestly make me sick to my stomach.  You support Illegal crossing our border and fail to defend "Americans" who want to protect their States, homes, property, and most of all, their families.  No respect for the Twin Towers area and the Flight 93 crash site.  You probably see no wrong with the 170 tombstones that were over-turned in Clyde.  It's all the same thing--RESPECT-- and love of country and our Freedom which you have no problem giving away.

There are people on here talking about having high expectations for President Obama. These people always have high expectations for everyone else except the person in the mirror. You sat around and did nothing while the Repubs dismantled the middle class. Now you whine because the black man in the Whitehouse is trying to fix 30 years of disaster. The only thing you consistently do well is hate. You would rather see our country collapse than support anything the Prez does.

Repubs have nothing, nothing but hate and contempt for our country.

EZBOB said " I'm not going to live every day life like I've witnessed and the suffering by many during WWII."  Where have you been since WWII? The only thing that exceeds your hypocricy is your lack of honesty about Bushwacker and all of their lies and causing the injury and death of so many people based on lies. Evidently you value something else over life!! SAM said "Obama has done more to destroy the middle class in 20 months than any other president in history." SAM you need to stop watching the "Soaps" and make an effort to present some ADULT solutions, but I guess that you have to be an adult!!

All of you so-called conservatives must have used LEADER DOGS to get you past the Bushwacker blunders, lies, false wars, creating the largest Federal Government in History, exporting jobs, created more billionaires and millionaires than ever existed, and just what did it profit any of you? Also what are you trying to conserve, keeping the rich richer? Any intelligent person would understand which economic group that Bushwacker supported, one Hint, It WAS NOT YOU AND YOURS.

Show some independent thinking and stop readinf the script that your Masters wrote for you!! Any intelligent person would not be loyal to any political party, but again it does require intelligence. What do either one of you get for cheer leading for your Masters? I still can not believe that anyone would reference WWII as a basis to criticize a current POTUS and not be honest enough to admit how badly Bushwacker Played the Role of POTUS. When his term ended there was little remaining of the "Middle Class."

When you mention "Tea Party" to a Liberal they immediately assume that they have to defend O'Bama and bash Bush and Cheney.  Liberals, "With Me" this is not the situation.  I was fed-up with Bush and Cheney and was really thinking it couldn't be any worse, wrong again.  After 8 years of Bush people had higher expectations and when this joker came on the scene it has become more that anyone can stand.  To those of you who are content with this administration, you are very easy to please.  A cup of rice a day and a piece of dog meat once a week and you'll be fine.   I'm not going to live every day life like I've witnessed and the suffering by many during WW11.  This is leading to conditions never before seen in this country.  I'd say the hand writing is on the wall but it's even more obvious than that..  They are telling us what they want our country to be and you're not listening.

Remember Obama's speech in 2008?

"I will make our government open and transparent so that anyone can ensure that our business is the People's business," he said. "I am going to make it impossible for congressmen or lobbyists to slip pork-barrel projects or corporate welfare into laws when no one is looking because, when I'm president, meetings where laws are written will be more open to the public. No more secrecy. That's a commitment I'm going to make to you as President: No more secrecy."

The President outlined a clear vision of open government in that speech:

"When there's a bill that ends up on my desk as President, you, the public, will have five days to look online and find out what's in it before I sign it so that you know what your government is doing.

When there are meetings between government lobbyists and a government agency, we will put as many of those meetings as possible on line for every American to watch.

When there's a tax bill being debated in Congress, you will know the names of the corporations that would benefit and how much money they would get, and we will put every corporate tax break and every pork-barrel project on line for every American to see. You will know who asked for them, and you can decide whether your representative is actually representing you."

Openness? How much of the Patriot Act has Mr. Obama recinded? Seems like he likes it just the way it is.

A Repub salvation? Nope. I just like to see the Dems get their collective tushes handed to ‘em.

In a nutshell: Public "entitlements" of health and welfare benefits will eventually bankrupt this country fiscally. There ain’t much either party can do.

Plant closing in the U.S. began under POTUS Carter. The low-skilled U.S. labor force is no longer competitive with foreigners who will work 10-12 hr. days for a $1 an hr. It ain’t comin’ back.

And besides; a lot of manufacturing in the U.S. has been automated. It takes fewer laborers to operate a plant than it did 30-40 yrs. ago.

Like it or not; the key to a well paying, quality job is an education – pure and simple. Even Mr. Obama has stated that.

Must I remind you that Good Old Jack is one person and did you notice that he also mentioned Pelosi?

Interesting that none of your type, 6079 Smith W, were ever concerned about openess, or any efforts to hold Bushwacker and his crew's feet to the fire. What is missing in your "Ananlysis" (lol) is that the Bushwacker administration screwed you and your kind, and everyone else, unless you were wealthy.

I am always amazed that your type can/could never see through the many contradictions of what the "Repubs" did to the lesser clowns that were/are loyal to them. We know (lol) that Chainey was very open and communicated and acted on the majority's behalf. I do notice that YOU do not indicate when Obama is not being truthful about what he inherited from Bushwacker. If you did attempt to do so it would require that you first have amnesia and then use fiction as your source. Oh, you have been using fiction!!

Exactly what did you gain from your "Repubs" running the country? Where did the jobs go? When did America become a major debtor nation? How many wars were started under your "Repubs?" Did you ever see any of those weapons of mass destruction?

For all of those persons that did not have health care when Bushwacker took office did they have it when he left? Do you know that the number of millionaires and billionaires increased when your "Repubs" were in charge? Did you get your share of the loot from the billions that disappeared in Iraq (you do know about it don't you?)? Was the country better off after Bushwacker lead it for EIGHT YEARS?

What is difficult for you is that you will have to know some facts in order to answer these questions. Do you really believe that the "Repub" leadership has YOUR best interest in mind? Do they consult you before THEY make decisions?

Enough for now. If you can give factual answers to those questions I doubt if you will be able to respond by Christmas. NO RHETORIC ALLOWED!!!

A Repub plan?

Didn’t the Repubs meet with Obie back in Jan. and give him one? Did he lose it?

Before and since, ol’ Excuses-in-Chief’s mantra for his incompetence has been: If it ain’t Bush’s fault - it’s the Repubs’

Regardless. In 2006, Congressional Dems ran as the anti-Bush party. Whatever Bush wanted they were against it.

Now that same political tactic has been essentially turned on them and they’re whining: Where’s the beef?

The best thing that the Repubs could do is to stay out of it and allow the Dems to self-destruct for November.

So far, the Dems are doing a fine impression of a suicide bomber who fails to achieve his objective and only blows himself up - why help 'em?

Dean: If Dems Lose, It's Obama's Fault

BY John McCormack

August 22, 2010 3:29 PM

Via The Hill, former DNC chairman and Vermont governor Howard Dean ripped into the Obama White House this morning on CNN and said that the Democrats' fate in the midterm elections rests on Obama's shoulders. Asked about Obama's bad poll numbers, Dean said:

I think that we are in tough times in America. We have got an unemployment rate that's over 9 percent. We have got, you know, people who are still making a zillion dollars on Wall Street while the average person thinks that they are doing great, and how come, since they were the ones that screwed up the economy, we're not -- we're where we are. There's a lot of resentment. It's a tough time.

Don't you think that the fans would want the owner to fire him for whining?

Here's part of Obie's dismal track record:

50 million Americans are on Medicaid

40 million people get food stamps

10 million receive unemployment insurance

More than 4.4 million people are on welfare

"The federal price tag for Medicaid has jumped 36% in two years, to $273 billion. Jobless benefits have soared from $43 billion to $160 billion. The food stamps program has risen 80%, to $70 billion. Welfare is up 24%, to $22 billion. Taken together, they cost more than Medicare.”

From the numbers, doesn’t it look like the Incompetent-in-Chief wants as many people dependent on the govt. for their health and welfare as possible? Makes ‘em good Democrats.
