The past week went well working with Derek Nimrichter of Bodi N Balance.

I was able to work with Derek twice this last week on Tuesday, Nov. 2, and Wed., Nov. 4. I did get to the gym on my off days. I'm trying to push harder to make my goal of 80 pounds by the end of the year.

I can't believe how fast this year has gone while participating in the FIT Challenge. The goal of 80 pounds is still in my reach and I believe losing the weight at about 7 pounds per month will help me maintain my weight loss.

I do tell everyone that the hardest part of my journey to better health is just starting. When the year is over, the challenge of maintaining the weight loss will begin.

I believe if I keep in focus the journey, I will be able to remember the hard work I put in and not want to revert back to my unhealthy life style.

When I talk with people about the FIT Challenge, I always mention that being in the public view makes it easier to be successful, as no one wants to fail while being watched.

The thing I must keep in mind is that after this year is over people will still be watching to see how all three contestants maintain on their own.
