This past week flew by and the weekend was even faster!
I've worked out more this week and really pushed hard.
I really enjoy working out with Hannah Riley at the Norwalk Rec; she is pushing me beyond what I thought I could do in terms of different exercises and endurance.
They have been really hard workouts and I have been whipped at the end of them, but I can tell they are paying off already.
I feel better, I am getting stronger and we’ll see how much faster I can go at the Flatlanders Tour.
I feel like I am getting my diet under better control.
I’ve done well staying away from most processed foods.
I had a handful of a mix of pretzels, nuts, and Doritos. I said a handful; this is a big achievement for me because I could typically eat a bag of potato chips nonstop.
I have been drinking between 100-120 ounces of water a day and eating a couple apples a day for snacks.
I am trying to take small steps to change my habits.
This week I am going to stop eating anything after 7:30.
It will be a challenge for me, but I think this will really help the weight loss.
I’ve dropped 6 pounds since starting the challenge. It’s not as much as I would have liked to drop by now, but I’ll take it.
This weeks other challenge will be the fair.
Hannah has challenged me to find 15 healthy foods at the fair. I guess if I count my own that would be cheating.
I hope to see someone reading this at the Flatlanders tour this weekend. Come ride with me, you’ll feel like a kid again.
