A dedicated local graduate is aiming to add one more thing to her lengthy list of accomplishments: landing a $1,000 national scholarship.

Shannon Ebert, who graduated from EHOVE Career Center in May 2013 with a record-setting 62 college credits, is one of 24 finalists in this year’s Church Hill Classics Frame My Future Scholarship Contest. Ebert attends the University of Findlay, where she studies business management and marketing, and also plays volleyball.

Church Hill Classics — a Connecticut company that specializes in crafting diploma frames — will select five scholarship winners through an online voting system. The top vote-getter will also earn a $1,000 donation for his or her college.
