The world’s only classical music ensemble named after a Cedar Point roller coaster is staying busy.

Blue Streak, founded in 2011 by Cleveland-area composer Margaret Brouwer, will play at Nighttown Jazz Club in Cleveland Heights on March 13, then in April will play concerts in Hudson, Ohio, and in New York City, according to a schedule posted on the group’s website.

The group plays Brouwer’s music and her arrangements of music by other classical composers. The group has played in Sandusky and is named for Cedar Point’s Blue Streak roller coaster.

The group’s website has a photo of the coaster. Brouwer said in a 2011 interview that she lives in a cottage in west Huron along the edge of the lake during the summer and can see Cedar Point when she gazes out over the water.
