Register pages are missing? Don’t call 911

Typically, if our readers experience a delivery issue, they can call our circulation department and resolve the issue within minutes.
One man, who lives on Perry Street, took matters into his own hands after-hours this past week.
When three pages of his Sandusky Register went missing about about 2:30 a.m. Tuesday, he apparently considered the situation a dire emergency.

The man, 38, called 911 and urged police to come investigate his neighbor, who he believed nabbed some of his precious newspaper pages, because he spotted them in her purse, according to a Sandusky police report.

Police told the man they weren’t going to wake the neighbor to inquire about the alleged theft.

They also warned the man he could be punished in the future if he called 911 for non-emergency situations.

Apparently they didn’t find the situation as humorous as I did.

Julie R.

This is tooooo funny.

I also would like to add that whoever delivers my paper in Huron is doing an excellent job and I would like to leave him/her a tip. Can I add the tip on to the bill?

When I did subscribe you could do this.

No Wake

I'm sure a tip would be greatly appreciated!

When I delivered, people would usually tape an envelope to the door or leave one where I'd put their paper. Many of my customers were carrier collect for billing, and many of my tips came from the face to face interaction. It made up for those who pretended not to be home..

Julie R, you most defiantly can add a tip to your payment. If your account is paid up and you want to tip your carrier for Christmas you can call the office and put a tip on a credit or debit card. You can reach customer service at 419-625-5500 ext 3 8:00 am to 6:30 pm Monday thru Friday 7:00 am to 11:00 am Saturday and Sunday.

My husband worked for a SMALL (tiny) village as a police officer. He was dispatched thru 911 because a lady had a complaint due to her trash cans not being picked up/emptied. She actually called 911 because the trash truck missed her trash can!!!! LMAO! I do not know how 911 operators can keep a straight face and not laugh at some of these things!

Yes julie you can just call the office and tell them how much you want to tip

Now why didn't I think of calling 911 when the Kroger ad was left out of my paper?
