The following are the highest and lowest recorded real estate transations in Erie, Huron and Ottawa counties for the week ending Nov. 9.

 

High:
3 transactions, 5219 Milan Road, Perkins Twp., Erie County, Maple City Builders, LLC to Rare Hospitality Internationak Inc., $1,100,000.

Low:
Lots 170-176 Willow Beach, Erie Twp., Ottawa County, vacant land, Michael and Kathleen Moeller to Dwayne and Lori Colston, $1,960.

I have a hunch that the property that sold for $1,100.000 got a very deep discount for 2012 valuations and taxes. I will check and report back.

Interesting. 2006 valuation was $435,520. 2012 valuation was decreased to $236,070. Sold for $1,100,000.

Something smells really fishy at the county auditor's office. One has to wonder how many others got deep discounts on property taxes.
