Americans should exercise their right to vote

Every time I hear an elected official talk about voter fraud, it makes me sick. It is their way of blowing smoke to distract from the poor job they are doing of running our country.

If you need a photo I.D. to get on a plane or to get into the White House, then you should need a photo I.D. to vote.

It is not that hard; you get a photo I.D. from your state. Go to the board of elections and register. Learn about the people running and the issues. Show up on Election Day, show your I.D. and vote.

On May 10, 1963, I became an American citizen. It was a great day for me. I will always remember what our judge told us. “You have earned the right to be part of the American Family. You now have rights and duties. Duty to be a good citizen, and the right to vote. Your vote is your voice, make it heard”

Again, one person — one vote. It is your voice. Make it count.
