I had the chance to spend an hour taking the SPARC loop on Monday afternoon for a story in today's Register about the first day for the new bus route.
I talked to several people including Sandusky residents Connie Love and Scott Green about the route and how it helps them get from Point A to Point B in a timely and inexpensive manner. Green jokingly said that with a $1 each way he has enough money left over to buy a sandwich.
The route is an important component during tougher economic times and even if you have a car it may not be a bad idea to keep the car in the garage and hop on the bus. It's nice to let someone else do the driving on U.S. 250. I know my favorite stop so far is the one at Madison and Lawrence Streets. I can walk there and it has a SPARC sign and everything.
To see a schedule, Sue Daugherty has posted it in her blog from a couple days ago.
