•Summer programs providing services for children are looking for volunteers to help with fun programming and activities, and to help feed the children during the day programs.

•Volunteers are needed to help with the Safety Festival on May 17. Help is needed with setting up at 11 a.m. or taking down displays at 5 p.m. Come help the children of the community have fun learning about safety.

•A local church needs volunteers to clean up their small flower beds.

•Mentors are needed to act as role models for boys and girls. The mentors spend time with their child when and how best meets the needs of both. If you have some extra time there are children waiting to know that someone cares about them.

•A church group is looking for three working computers for their children’s program.

•An agency that provides a summer program for children needs snacks, small toys and construction paper.

•If you have artistic skills a local health care facility is looking for a volunteer to work in an art related program to help patients cope with their illness.

•Several agencies need volunteers to help with clerical work in their offices. Hours are variable.

•Drivers are needed to transport patients to their medical appointments.

•Drivers are also needed to deliver food to people who are homebound. Volunteers can drive one or as many days as they would like. It only involves an hour or two over lunch.

•Energetic volunteers are needed to cheer on runners at a Lake Erie 5K and1/2 Marathon sponsored by Cedar Point, June 27-29. Registration is now open and volunteers can earn a donation for their favorite charity.
