•Please join us for our Purse Auction at the Sandusky Yacht Club on Friday, March 14. You can bid on 50 unique purses with great prizes inside and help raise much needed funds for The Volunteer Center. Buffet dinner included. Tickets are available by calling 419-627-0074.

•Do you enjoy nature? Help is needed to monitor marsh animals. Volunteers will identify and count frogs, toads and other amphibians.

•Volunteers are also needed to monitor birds, including eagles. You will learn to identify up to 50 marsh species of birds by sight and sound.

•A local food bank needs donations of cereal, condiments, salad dressings and toiletries. No particular brands requested, you could buy anything you find on sale. Volunteers to help stock these items are needed, too.

•Individuals are needed to help children with educational activities in an afterschool program.

•Volunteer guardians are needed for senior citizens to see they are getting their needs met. No legal or financial issues are involved.

•Do you have something in mind you’d like to help with, but don’t know where to begin? Call us. We’ll find just the right volunteer opportunity based on your schedule and interests.

•Boys and girls are waiting for someone to volunteer to spend some time with them, one on one. This is a great opportunity to be a positive influence in a child’s life.

•Gently used infant clothing and baby items are needed by a local agency.

•Nominations for are Women of Excellence Celebration are being accepted until March 10. If you know of a woman who volunteers her time and talents in an exemplary manner all year long, this is the chance for her to get the recognition she deserves. Call 419-627-0074 for details.
