Needed: warm coats and warm hearts

• Drivers are needed in the Huron area to transport the elderly to local destinations, a vehicle and gas are provided.

• Volunteer at a local health care facility for those 16 and up. All you need are people skills or clerical abilities.

• Do you like to cook? A local agency is looking for individuals who’d like to make baked goods, casseroles or soups for their patients and their families.

• New or gently used jewelry, purses, shoes and accessories are being collected for girls going to prom.

• Volunteers are still needed to help area residents prepare their taxes. Training is provided.

• As soon as the weather permits-volunteers are needed to help on a truck picking up donations 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

• Do you love animals? You could help walk dogs at local shelters.

• Warm coats and clothes are needed by local clothing banks.

• If you are a veteran and would like to help another veteran through a difficult period, your time talking and listening to them would be greatly appreciated.

• Nursing homes are always looking for volunteers to help with activities for seniors.

• Do you have something in mind you’d like to help with, but don’t know where to begin? Call us! We’ll help you find the right opportunity based on your talents, schedule and interests.
