• If you are a veteran that would like to help other veterans by just being a friend to talk to, a local agency would love to have your assistance.

• If you like children, how about volunteering to help in the new Children’s Museum downtown for a few hours on a weekend?

• A local clothing pantry is in need of winter coats and infant and baby items like bottles, clothing, formula and strollers.

• A food pantry is looking for shopping carts to be used by their clients and would also like additional volunteers.

• Someone to perform simple clerical work like filing, answering phones, and greeting people is always needed. Hours are very flexible.

• A local agency can still use holiday bell ringers to help raise funds for those in need.

• Drivers are needed to deliver meals to the homebound for one hour a day.

• Tax prep volunteers are needed beginning in January. You would be entering data in online forms for low income clients. No tax preparation experience needed.

• Gift shop attendants are needed by a local veteran’s home for a two hour shift, one day a week.

• Thank you to all who saved empty cardboard tubes for us. We do not need anymore, but are now collecting tabs from soda and pet food cans.

• This Christmas, if you receive any new electronics, please remember we’ll be happy to recycle your old›electronics and keep them out of the landfill. Almost anything with a cord is accepted.

• May your holidays be filled with peace and joy. Happy Holidays to everyone from all of us at The Volunteer Center!
