Dog warden Barb Knapp isn't straining at the leash and barking frantically. She's just making phone calls. But she wants every dog owner in Erie County to know about Wednesday's dog clinic.
The second round of low-cost parvo shots being offered by the dog warden and local veterinarian Jerry Farkas will be 5:30-7:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Erie County Dog Pound, 2900 Columbus Ave. (That's Sept. 10. It's hard to guess when someone might read a blog post.)
As I wrote in an earlier article, there's been an outbreak of the often-deadly disease, so the shot clinic offers a way to protect Rover from harm. Puppies need at least two injections. The clinic is a follow-up for a clinic held on Aug. 20. Older dogs who received a shot months ago and need the six-month booster can come, too.
