Fluffy and Fido want presents, too

The Erie County Humane Society is again offering Christmas stockings for pets, so that your dog or cat won’t feel left out of the Christmas or Hanukkah celebration.

Each large red stocking costs $15. The humane society folks promise to fill it with treats and toys, paying attention to your pet’s size, age and preferences. (My cat likes toy mice, so she got a bunch of them when I bought my stocking last year.)

To order a stocking, call 419-626-6220. Stockings may be picked up Dec. 17-23.

Amy Porter, executive director of the humane society, insists the stockings are a great value.

“These stockings are huge, chock full, and filled with a lot more than $15 worth of goodies,” she said.
