A special edition of Five Points with Emil & Emil

Sandusky Register Staff

No, that’s not a typo. With reporter Andy Ouriel on vacation this week, Five Points with Emil & Andy got a comedic makeover Wednesday.

Register reporter Emil Whitis is joined by standup comedian Emil “The Fryman” Fry.

The Fryman is performing at 7:30 p.m. tonight at the Sandusky State Theatre for the “Night of Comedy” show, with fellow comedian Steve Poggi. Limited seating is available for the $10, one-night performance.
The Fryman, now of St. Louis, has Sandusky roots. His great-grandfather, Emil Niehm, owned the former Niehm’s Tavern in downtown Sandusky in the 1940s.

Emil Whitis also has a great-grandfather named Emil.
