Maccabees fraternity dispersed in mid-1900s

This week on the Sandusky History blog, a look at an early 1900s fraternal organization whose benefits included allowing its members to obtain life insurance at a reasonable rate.

The Knights of the Maccabees once had four "tents" in Sandusky, while the accompany ladies organization had two "hives," according to the blog post, inspired by the photograph of the organization donated to the Sandusky Library archives.
