Uses for Violets abound

This month on master herbalist Mary Colvin's blog, a look at the late-spring blooming Violet its uses and characteristics.

"The Violet has a folk tradition of protecting against evil spirits, as a symbol of eternal love, of calming tempers, as a good luck charm, and as a cure for headaches. The Violet species has been used for well over 2000 years, and is best known traditionally for helping with coughs and cancer."
