Who was left out of the family will?

This week on the Genealogy of Northwest Ohio blog, Derek Davey writes about the importance of using probate court documents to find information about family money in genealogy research.

"As in all things in genealogy understanding the meaning and purpose of documents is critical. Understanding the money situation if families helps us better understand their relationships. The lack of money also explains the minimal paper trail and even how they were buried. It is critical to understand what was going on so that you can identify new avenues to continue your research."

Who was left out of the family will?

In corrupt Erie County be aware that's not your decision to make.

I also can't stress this enough --- when choosing an attorney to prepare your legal documents don't ever, ever, ever, choose attorneys that are also JUDGES. When it comes to ethics and morals those are the worst ~ and I do mean the WORST ~ attorneys around.

Swamp Fox

Bingo!

Pete

I am surprised it took her a whole 21 minutes after the first comment.

Julie R.

For a county that sent a black lady (Krista Harris) to prison for five years claiming she stole from her elderly aunt using a legal power of attorney ... a used-car salesman to jail for five and a half years for causing defects in the titles to used cars ...... not to mention the disbarred attorney that was sentenced to prison for 8 years for calling some corrupt old rent-a-judge corrupt ---- would you like to see how easy your Erie County public officials make it for their attorney friends and other dirt-bags to criminally defraud the elderly and incompetent, including how easy they make it to fraudulently transfer their properties causing serious defects in the titles?

That forged power of attorney filed in the Lorain County Recorder ~ the one that's falsely stated on a fraud QuitClaims to be on file in Erie County ~ is still there. Unlike corrupt Erie County, the Lorain County recorder obviously does not allow permanent records to be removed from the office.

That used car salescrook is right where he belongs!

What is the over/under on her comment count?

Julie R.

The importance of using probate court documents to find information about family money? Now that sure is a joke.

Only probate court documents in my mother's Erie County probate estate: 1.) A forged will filed two years after her death that not only is different then the forged will her Huron attorneys filed with the Medicaid office, it also was never probated 2.) a piece of paper signed by some Lorain County attorney (???) that was filed with the forged will that says there are are no assets left in my mother's name but fails to mention what the assets were and where they went 3.) a ton of complaints that the probate court refused to address 4.) a bunch of stupid Motions to dismiss the complaints by attorneys, including goon out-of-state attorneys for an insurance company and a Huron bank, claiming the complaints had already been "resolved". (referring to a bogus scam lawsuit that a sneaky attorney ~ working in collusion with the courts and the attorneys from the other side ~ filed and dismissed in the jurisdiction of Cuyahoga County -- a jurisidiction that had nothing to do with the probate estate of a life-long Erie County resident)

Poor Julie R......We know you all too well! lmfao. Great commenting ladies and gentlemen, I applaud you all!

Julie R.

Why do you say poor Julie R.? Why not say pity the elderly in corrupt Erie County instead? Why not say pity the taxpayers, too? After all, who do you think pays when the courts and attorneys pull off one unlawful scam after another to cover up those crimes against the elderly?

margaritaville88

Isn't Julie R really that crazy attorney lady from Ottawa county years ago, what was it something like Elsebeth Baumgartner ?? Something like that?

Julie R.

I'm not an attorney. I consider that to be the ultimate insult.

As for the whistleblower Elsebeth Baumgartner --- she wasn't crazy. That was only what the corrupt clowns in Erie, Ottawa, and corrupt Cuyahoga County wanted all the sheep to believe.

margaritaville88

Was not crazy, ok but are you??

margaritaville88

It's 5' oclock somewhere..lol

deertracker

Is that why you are drunk at 11?

Julie R.

@ margaritaville88: Crazy are your clown Erie County public officials who think despicable crimes against the elderly and fraud committed by their attorney friends and other trash is something to laugh at.

Cityslicker

If I were Julie R., I would take the SR and just diddy bop over to Lorain County, obtain those (public) records, and bring them back for printing. That should answer alot of questions. And where did you come up with the name Julie R. anyhow.

Julie R.

Where did you ever come up with the name Cityslicker? Are you one of the city slickers from Huron?

richrs

everyone should hit the dispute link on Julie R. It's getting old the crap she is whining about.

deertracker

No older than the constant nonsense we read from all the Obama haters!

Darwin's choice

Julie R does have some very valid points. There is way to much BS going in the Erie Co. courts. Maybe she can be the catalyst to "can" some of the criminals........

I myself know what is going on in corrupt Erie County, Ohio. The simpletons have no clue and are too lazy to find out. The Sandusky Register could expose the powers that be if they really wanted to. The public records are there to prove it. Many people already know what is going on but the powers that be are in control. Anybody who goes up against the powers that be will be dealt with.

The state of Ohio is set up to encourage corruption. The Ohio Attorney General will not investigate citizens complaints of unethical or illegal actions by the powers that be. One must ask the county prosecutor to bring in the OAG for an investigation. If the county prosecutor refuses, one can hire an attorney to file a civil lawsuit. Many in Cuyahoga County tried to get the corruption under control using both methods and failed. The only recourse is for an FBI raid with out of state agents as happened in Cuyahoga County, Ohio.

margaritaville88

I agree with you 100%..Thanks

deertracker

I think Julie R. has some very valid points also. There is lots of corruption in Erie County. If you have not walked in her shoes, your comments mean NOTHING!

There you go again

Julie R. keep it coming! I love you comments and, having some experience in the biased nature of the court system, agree with you 100%

I don't know when or where, but history tells us that eventually things will get bad enough to bring on a revolution. And remember history is written by the winners.

Julie R.

I think with all the senior citizens and elderly out there, Erie County would do good to have a major overhaul in that Eeerie County Probate Court. (not to mention the prosecutor's office)

Julie R.

It says in today's paper that the OAG Mike DeWine is actively campaigning for prosecution of financial abuse against the elderly. He said the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation has a wealth of resources, including forensic accountants, to support local prosecutors in theft from the elderly cases.

Local prosecutors in corrupt Erie County? I think I'll write DeWine and tell him what a joke THAT is!

Cityslicker

Actually Julie R., if you recall Curly in the movie. They moulded him as a clone to me. Thats because I'm a pretty bad sass person. As a matter of fact, that are only 100 of us known to be in exsistance. And I get 99 Christmas cards every year, and don't send any. I hope that answers your questions. No how about answering mine (SB).

Julie R.

Gee, once again I don't why this article says that family money can be traced through probate court records. That has to be the biggest joke around. The probate estate of my mother's sure doesn't tell where the money from her side of the family went --- the money that I was supposed to make sure was paid out someday to her 4 family members --- the money that a wealthy old Italian stepfather couldn't touch and neither could Medicaid. Only thing in my mother's probate estate other than a ton of complaints that the probate court refused to address and a bunch of stupid motions filed by attorneys to dismiss the complaints saying they had already been resolved --- referring to a joke bogus sham lawsuit that a sneaky attorney filed and dismissed in the jurisdiction of Cuyahoga County --- is a forged will filed two years after her death and a piece of paper saying there are no assets left in her name. Not even her property that was fraudulently transferred seven months prior to her death was put back into her probate estate. It's why the joke courts forced the property with serious defects in the title to be sold at a scam sheriff sale. They knew it couldn't be sold through normal channels unless it WAS put back into her estate.

The records in the Erie County Probate Court are about as big a joke as the misleading Erie County auditor and recorder's online records that cover up fraud on property.
