9:15 p.m. — 100 block W. Parish St., boy rode bicycle home with borrowed video games in hand when group of three youths blocked his way; one told boy to give up the games then pulled a gun when boy refused. Boy kicked the armed youth in the groin then ran off; he shook as he repeated story to police. Police searched for the group but couldn’t find them.

That took guts for the boy to do, but with a gun pointed at him, I don't know if it was the wise decision to make. Thank goodness he made it home ok.

Grandmasgirl I'm in total agreement with you - I think I would have just given up the games. With a gun pointed at you, you never want to take a chance. What's scary though is that these were kids that had the gun pointing it at another kid over video games. I know they have them but come on already!! Is that what parents are teaching kids?

I will go out on a limb and say the are learning it FROM the parents. I bet the parents of the "group" have guns too. The "experts" always tell us that kids are products of the home. They do what they learn from parents. This is a sad testament of what is happening in America.

If you are trained it's not a bad idea. I would laugh if someone went around doing this to concealed carriers! haha!
