I attended the second Police Chief Selection Committee meeting. After the first meeting, I figured, finally, the group was on the right track and all would go well. Having knowledge of the Sunshine Law, the second meeting seemed to be a little different and I wondered if I spoke too soon.
My topic this week is the second round of the Police Chief Selection Committee.
After attending the first meeting of the retake of the Police Chief Selection Committee, I gave the staff and the committee an A+ for the teamwork they displayed.
My topic this week is the City of Sandusky suing Erie County.
It is unfortunate that a lawsuit had to be filed. As for the water rate furnished to the county, I don’t know how low Sandusky can go with their water rate without giving the water away.
My topic this week is maintaining city streets. Our city claims they are mostly protected against lawsuits because the government has immunity, but is that really true anymore?
When it comes to government, you just cannot have enough transparency. The more transparency the better so the taxpayers can better understand what is happening with their government.
My topic this week is the conclusion of the police chief committee investigation.
Did anyone think the investigation would turn out any different then what was claimed in the first place that the Police Chief Committee didn’t follow the Charter?
