5:24 a.m. The Knob is filling up and fireworks are expected in about an hour. Check back for updates and photos from the event. And check out a live blog of the event here...
2:45 a.m. Gobbler's knob will be opening soon and busloads of Groundhoggers will make their way from town to see if Phil sees his shadow.
I'm hitting the road...again. The scheduling stars aligned and I was able to cover this year's Groundhog Day from the Groundhog capital of the world, Punxsutawney.
That's Punxsutawney with an "x," for all of you with a spelling bee coming up. I've become well-versed in the spelling of the small town in Pennsylvania since planning started for the trip. Reporter Jessica Cuffman is covering some other groundhog in Ohio tomorrow morning that she claims is a big deal as well. We will be comparing our experiences in next Sunday's edition of the Register. Be sure to check it out.
A live blog of my experience, including photos, is available below. My guess is updates will begin around 10 p.m.
