Did you see me? I was the one wearing red with the beard

If you were anywhere close to Cedar Point or the causeway on Sunday morning you probably caught a glimpse of St. Nick, or about 2,000 St. Nicks.

The first Santa Hustle of our area started and ended at Castaway Bay. Runners and walkers were given the choice of a 5K (3.1 miles) or a half marathon (13.1 miles). I opted for the 5K, but was real tempted to try the longer race because the half marathon snaked its way through Cedar Point.

About 800 people started the half marathon at 9 a.m. and I with about 1,200 of my closest friends dressed as Santa started our race at 9:30 a.m. I learned a couple things during the race, 1) It is easy to run with a video camera on your head. I had a GoPro and the video can be watched in the player to the right. And 2) it is NOT easy to run and eat a cookie at the same time.
