With the Bellevue football team heading to Canton this Saturday for the state football championship game, second graders at Bellevue Elementary gave the team some tips on how to prepare for the big game.

Here's a sampling of their advice...

I have some good advice on how to win a game. The night before the game, get a lot of sleep. I'm sure that you don't like to eat your vegetables.  You should do it, because they are good for you. Every night do your exercises. You should listen to what I tell you so you win.

I have some good advice on how to sack the quarterback. The first advice is to look for the person with the ball. Then trip them. The final thing you do is dive and grab them. This will really help you for the final game.

You will win if you follow this game plan. You have to practice hard and exercise to catch the ball. Intercept every pass and kick deep into the end zone. Practice breaking up the middle, make field goals, and score touchdowns to win the game. You can do it!

Bellevue Elementary School would like to share some advice to win the football game. Get good sleep like about 40 or 20 minutes a day. When you tackle, hook the legs. You should eat a good and healthy breakfast. Good luck at the game and remember we are proud of you.

Bellevue Elementary second graders would like to share some advice on how to win the football game. You should learn the plays. You should practice kicking the football. Exercise by doing 20 jumping  jacks and 30 pushups. Good luck at the game and remember we are proud of you.

Bellevue Elementary second graders would like to share some advice on how to win the football game. I think you should practice tripping them. When they come to tackle you, duck down so they fall. You need to learn some new plays, too. Maybe you should practice intercepting. Good luck at the game and remember we are proud of you.

To win the big game on Saturday you should
1. eat enough food anddrink water
2 exercise
3 get healthy
4 eat meat
5 stay in shape - lift weights
6 be tough
7 tackle hard
8 prove your strength
9 think positive
10 scare them
11 drink milk
12 be happy you made it this far.
13 be strong for your body
14 be hopeful and pray

I have good advice on how to tackle. If you are behind the linemen get in the middle. If they run the ball to the left or the right and if they are free, you go the right way and then tackle them. If you are behind the linemen when they hike the ball, then you need to make a hole so the people that are behind the linemen can get through. Then they can sack the quarterback. Now the Redment linemen need to play up the holes so the other team can't sack Jalen Santoro. When you are on defense try to interecep it or try to make them fumble. When they run the ball to the right or the left, try to grab them and tackle them. Go Redmen!

I have some advice on how to win the big game. First you should do atleast 50 pushups, because they help you run and so your back does not hurt a lot. I do pushups in the mroning. They are fun. You should drink lots of water. It is good so you do not get sick. It is good for everything in and on your body. you should drink atleast 3 bottles a day. you should eat fruit like oranges. They are good for you. I like football. Now you know how to win a game.

It reminds me of Art Linkletter's show "Kids say the darndest things" or recipes to cooking Thanksgiving turkey by elementary school kids. Just got to laugh.

Good luck Bellevue.

Dont Worry Be Happy

Good luck Bellevue, bring home the gold.
Flashes pride!

15: It's only a game, not a life or death situation.
16: In the end it's not all about whether you win or lost, but about teamwork and how hard you tried.
