Dogs, cats on sale

The Erie County Dog Warden and the the county humane society are both making extra efforts to find homes to adopt their animals.

The dog warden will have a booth at Corso's, 3404 Milan Road, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. with four dogs who are ready to go home.

Many people already believe that every newspaper reporter in America is "in the tank" for Obama. I guess it wouldn't help if anyone saw me carrying a big Obama/Biden yard sign out of the local Democratic headquarters Wednesday.

Kaptur, Latta help sink bailout bill

The bailout bill before the U.S. House failed 228-205 Monday afternoon, with the two lawmakers in our area, U.S. Rep. Marcy Kaptur, D-Toledo, and U.S. Rep. Bob Latta, R-Bowling Green, joining the majority in voting no.
