A difficult time for Barack Obama's fans

Tom Jackson
Jun 18, 2013

It's becoming harder and harder for members of Barack Obama's fan club to defend their hero — as least when it comes to his defense for NSA spying.

As I documented in a previous blog posting, the president's director of national intelligence, James Clapper, apparently lied to Congress when he was asked if the NSA is gathering data on millions of Americans.

The president now owns that falsehood. He didn't fire Clapper or publicly repudiate him. Instead, Obama's press secretary, Jay Carney, went out of his way to praise Clapper's supposed candor during a June 11 press briefing:

Q. Is the President satisfied that the American people are getting straight answers from their leadership when it comes to American intelligence?

A. MR. CARNEY:  Well, he certainly believes that Director Clapper has been straight and direct in the answers that he's given, and has actively engaged in an effort to provide more information about the programs that have been revealed through the leak of classified information.

(The transcript is here.)

So, what's James Clapper up to now? Excerpt from a CNN report: "An administration official said Monday that Obama had asked his intelligence chief James Clapper to determine whether additional information about the data collection programs can be made public, part of what the official described as a 'broader effort the president is undertaking to have a dialogue on protecting privacy in the digital age'."

So the guy who gave a false statement to Congress, under oath, gets to decide the contents of the next White House press release on domestic surveillance?

@ Mr. Jackson:

IMO, you underestimate the mindset of a true believer.

Every May Day across Russia, hundreds of supporters of Comrade Stalin protest for a return of the "good old days."

And, if legal, I can imagine that there would be similar rallies in Germany for Der Führer every yr. on April 20th.

Enjoyed reading Eric Hoffer's classic in high school yrs. ago.

Huron_1969

Obama fans are only getting what they voted for, they just didn't recognize it at the time. It's hard to admit you were wrong, so it'll take a lot more than these recent events to wake up a lot of his followers

The Big Dog's back

Wrong how? Unemployment down, better healthcare, an economy that is taking off. Sounds like what I voted for.

SamAdams

Better healthcare? Really? You and I have discussed this before, and you've yet to answer the single question I had for you: How, pray tell, under the "Affordable" Care Act, am I going to be able to afford the increased insurance premiums when I can't afford the premiums as they are NOW? And with premiums set to rise an average of 88% in Ohio shortly, I could really use your helpful answer sooner rather than later.

The Big Dog's back

sam, where did that bullspit come from? Oh wait, the Fox news owning, WSJ owning Rupert Murdock. And in Ohio it comes from Mary Taylor, a Repub. Tell me the name of one Repub politician who has ever had a good word to say about the ACC. It's really getting a little old sam.

KnuckleDragger

So if it came from Democrapper you would then believe it?

SamAdams

Still not answering the question, are you? Could it be because you HAVE no answer? Hmmm...

And as far as the premium costs go, well, I have no idea which insurance agents/agencies/companies are conservative or liberal. I didn't think to ask when I requested quotes.

This bullspit came from forbes......and right from the mouth of Ohio's Lt. Governor. "Democrats continue to try to dismiss the evidence that Obamacare will dramatically increase the cost of insurance for people who buy it on their own. But on Thursday, the Ohio Department of Insurance announced that, based on the rates submitted by insurers to date, the average individual-market health insurance premium in 2014 will come in around $420, “representing an increase of 88 percent” relative to 2013. “We have warned of these increases,” said Lt. Gov. Mary Taylor in a statement. “Consumers will have fewer choices and pay much higher premiums for their health insurance starting in 2014.”

BDB, you're response makes my point.... keep on dreaming. By the time you wake up it will be too late.

The liberal machine has been gaining momentum for the last 2 decades and has you and so many other Americans fooled. You guys can banter and play tit-for-tat with morsels of information all you want. It's the bigger picture that will direct what road our country travels

The Big Dog's back

So unemployment isn't down? The economy isn't moving forward? Healthcare insurance isn't better?

Huron_1969

No, no and no
Unemployment numbers are misleading due to the influence of seasonal and part time minimum wage jobs and an ever growing federal government
Economy is proped up by over printing currency and is unsubstanable
The healthcare reform, while needed, missed the mark. It's gonna cost a fortune to make it operational and the outcome is uncertain.

KnuckleDragger

@ Huron_1969 You are lieing --- it will cost a fortune because this country has been too worried about building a multi-million dollar weaponry, and helping out other countries-- Which is what the president Pre-Obama era did! Obama is trying to pull us out of that RUT!!! Hail Glory Praise and Honor to our wonderful POTUS!!!

re: GooseyGrandma

On the contrary, Obama is set to double foreign aid by 2015 and, as history keeps showing, it always hurts more than it helps. As Senator Rand Paul has noted, many of the people who hate us do so because, among other things, they hear us claiming to be so generous to them by sending billions of dollars in foreign aid but, instead, it ends up in the hands of the very leaders who are committing injustice against them.

A perfect example is that President Obama is about to send aid which will arm Syrian rebels (Al-Qaeda among them) so that they can fight Assad (in Syria) for us. And what do you think is going to happen, once Al-Qaeda gets that money, to the approx. 2 million Christians who sought refuge there?

You seriously want to "hail" and give "glory," "praise," and "honor" to those who would continue these practices?

EDIT: I agree that Assad needs to be toppled. My point is that there just has to be a better way.

S w Rand 2016

@Big Dog I see what you did there. You replaced "better healthcare" (in your earlier comment) with "better healthcare insurance" (in a more recent comment).
That is not to say that either is true by any stretch of the imagination.

The issue I take is that you seem to want "free healthcare" and "green energy." I would say that you should, instead, try "green healthcare" and "free energy." This way, the healthcare could truly become free shortly thereafter. But that is a somewhat long story and I will wait for an article that addresses those topics more directly.

vcreed123

Better health care? Better health care? I'm just making this post because that comment makes it obvious you don't have any first hand knowledge of this situation. I purchase my own insurance, I have for years, we received notice that starting in Jan when the great one's Obama care goes into affect my insurance costs will go up 56% for the same coverage. Prior to Obama Care the highest jump I ever saw was 8%, Thank you president Obama!!!

Darkhorse

That's funny Big Dog, as of Thursday the Unemployment ticked up to 7.6% and 354,000 more workers filed for unemployment and by the account of the GAO the economy is stagnant. But go ahead and enjoy the kool aid you are drinking and you will find in 2014 the Damocrats are going to lose the Senate and more seats in the house and this lame duck pres is just waiting out his time so he can go back to his Chicago mafia friends and live happily ever after, although probably not with Michelle.

PTBarnumWouldBeProud

Sorry, but it is actually up over 14%. You have to include those who've stopped looking for employment, but yet, remain unemployed. The 7.6% rate from April is measuring from a smaller pool of the American workforce. http://www.forbes.com/sites/robe...

Using the analogy that supporters of the President's policies that the rate is decreasing, is akin to something that most of us see in the grocery every day. Remember going to the store and buying a 1/2 gallon of ice cream? Many companies, Breyers for one, have kept their prices "the same" but reduced the size of their product from 64 oz. to 48 oz.

The 7.6% rate is extremely misleading, but it is one that is easily toutable to the proverbial low-information voters.

Because you are Racists and you really do not want to applaud his efforts and successes-- instead you'd rather find something to gripe about so that maybe you will get recognized as "THE ONE WHO SLAMMED OBAMA" If recognition is all you want then why not just go tell the Supreme Court Justice that you indeed have a hangnail and you just need someone to judge whether to bite it off or go to the doctor~~~ RIDICULOUS!!! Yes it is --- and the s.o.s. is still your ways of trying to persecute a man for the mistakes that previous repukes did years ago! And if Congress would have back Our POTUS in the last 4.5 years-- Our POTUS's Plan would have worked back then-- But no one wanted to give him a fair shake and they shot down every p.o.a. he laid out on the table... Iran Contra Affair
The Iran Contra Affair was a big political scandal during the 1980's. It involved members of the Reagan administration. In 1986 the people involved in this scandal sold weapons to Iran. Iran was a known enemy. They then used the money they got from the weapons to aid the Contras an anti-communist gguerrila organization in Nicaragua. In November 1986 the sales were revealed but Reagan denied them, but later that month he returned to T.V. to say they did happen but not in exchange for hostages.

Uh, grandma. I think you are confusing President Obama with Senator Rand Paul. Especially the part where you say that Congress (The Democrat-led Senate, in this case) should back him instead of shooting down every plan of action that he lays on the table.
I have to assume that you do not watch Congress live on TV (you know, C-SPAN and C-SPAN2) and that you, instead, rely on media pundits and opinion bloggers to tell you what is happening.

Things are so so so much better than they were in late 2008 at the end of the disastrous Bush presidency. Unless you want to return to double digit unemployment and the worst recession in the last 80 years...

I just read today that only 3 states have higher unemployment in 2013, and all 3 are led by Republican governors. So, it would seem as if Republicans are also getting exactly what they voted for...

Darwin's choice

WOW !! You are really swinging for the fence, aren't you? So, coasterfan, YOU threw Bush under the bus for a spike in fuel prices, yet under Obama's dictatorship, fuel averages for the past five years are higher than anytime in history! Fromthe419

Yes, unemployment numbers are down and that is good. Do you really blame Bush for the crash in 2007-2008? It was the banks that crashed the economy and it would haven't mattered if Al Gore or W was in office. Who signed the Modernization Bank Act? The bill that repealed Glass-Steagal? It allowed investment banks to loan and regular banks to speculate in the market....that would be William Jefferson Clinton. You can blame Bush all you want, but Democrats had a hand in this as well.

S w Rand 2016

@coasterfan What, at this point, does it matter what Bush did (even IF you had told the truth about whether or not Obama signed 9 of the 12 appropriations bills for 2009..which you most certainly have not)?

If you want to find the guilty, you need only look in the mirror.
You could've worked to get Warren G. Harding re-elected in either 2008 or 2012 (in the person of Ron Paul) and we would've had another "Roarin' 20's."
You chose, instead, to viciously lie (left and right) in your effort to elect and re-elect a party whose leaders pounced on their perfect opportunity to make it appear as if Capitalism had failed (which the Dems' party leaders have done ever since gaining control of Congress in the 2006 midterm elections).

Seriously, man..You could've at least nominated Democrat Dennis Kucinich in 2008 and the economy would be doing better also. He was running for POTUS, you know. You were all "star-struck" with Hillary and Obama, though. SMH.

Are you STILL trying to convince us that your party, whose leaders hold disdain for Capitalism, is trying to save our economy and that the Republicans, who love Capitalism, are trying to destroy it?
Mmmkaay?

race card alert!

TboneWalkerJr

Doesnt matter. the RACISTS WHO ELECTED OBAMA don't care what he does.

if OBAMA REPEALED the 13th Amendment to REINSTITUTE SLAVERY FOR BLACKS, he would not lose a single supporter

All that mattered to blacks in 2008 and 2012 was that Obama was NOT WHITE

All that matters to the WHITE LIBERALS and BLACK CONSERVATIVES who supported him was his (sort of ) BLACK SKIN

Liberal whites and blacks openly admitted that they were voting for the first BLACK president, NOT the best choice.

McCain was far more qualified than Obama but a great many LIBERALS think that HATING WHITES is GOOD RACISM

To them voting FOR someone because they are BLACK is not racism in their twisted deluded minds

SamAdams

Gosh, where, I wonder, were all of these people who were so PROUD to vote for the "first black president" when far more qualified black men were running for the office?

I'm proud to say that I supported a black man for president some twenty YEARS ago! (Supported a black man in 2012, too, as it happens). But I didn't support him because he was black. Nope. I supported him because I thought he was QUALIFIED! Oh, yes, and he also had some respect for the Constitution, that document in which Obama's never met a codicil he didn't want to change.

So I guess I'd also like to know why it is I'm suddenly a racist merely because I criticize a black man who ISN'T qualified for office? (At any level, much less the presidency...)

And yes, Tbone, you're right: The TRULY racist among us are those who voted FOR a man because of his skin color. They're no more or less guilty than those of equally small minds who refused to vote for Obama for no other reason than that.

coasterfan

What about the millions who voted for Obama NOT because of his skin color, but because we thought he was the far more qualified choice? Or the millions who voted Democrat not because of Obama, but because the GOP is stuck in the 1950's, and only caters to rich and/ or white people? You guys lost to women by double digits, Hispanics by almost 5 to 1, and age 18-29 voters by double digits. You didn't lose because of Obama, or Romney. You lost because Americans DO understand what the the Republican brand IS, and fewer people share your viewpoint.

MiddleRight

If you voted for him becuase you thought he was qualified, then you can hopefully now admit that you were misinformed.
BTW, thanks for highlighing all of the standard D - talking points in your post.

S w Rand 2016

@coasterfan Please explain to us how Obama (or Hillary, for that matter) was a better choice than Dennis Kucinich (another of your party's 2008 candidates)? I expect no substantial response.
The very things you proclaim that Obama is (but is not) would actually describe Kucinich very well. So, you really make no sense to me.
I predict that you will also continue to engage in the same hypocrisy once you realize that Senator Rand Paul is going to be the next POTUS. This would be very telling to me if I could pinpoint exactly what it is telling of : P

I take it that double digits is code for "not much more than 9% but we still want it to sound big." Is that correct? (Not that it holds much weight either way, considering the current state of the accuracy of information which voters use.)

The GOP is stuck in the 1950's? It seems an odd statement to me, considering that the only time I've ever heard of a congressman pushing to investigate "free energy" (harnessing Electromagnetism, etc) was a Republican Rep. (You do realize that harnessing Electromagnetism is the single greatest opportunity to end poverty and even war, do you not? It would even reverse the damage to our environment - Plasma Arc Reactors. So, please read up.)
Either way, please elaborate on what "stuck in the 50's" is even supposed to mean. Please link us to some facts about where the GOP leaders got down there on the floor of one of the houses of Congress and tried to take us back to the 50's. I have my popcorn at the ready.

Obviously, SamA was temporarily supporting Herman Cain, you all remember him, the pizza guy. Gee, he was "qualified" because he ran a pizza chain. Big Whoop! I'm sick and tired of people thinking this country should be run like a business!! It is NOT A BUSINESS--it is much more like a non-profit organization--to do what's best for it's citizens--like oh, say, healthcare, police and fire protection, a safe infrastructure for travel. Teabuggers/Con's just have a problem getting that through their heads.

meowmix

Alan Keyes??? I'm surprised anyone would admit to supporting that fool--another faux christian.

Here's a fun fact I found on him though:

Due to student deferments, Keyes was not drafted to serve in the Vietnam War. Keyes and his family were staunch supporters of the war.

In other words, I have my book learnin' to do--you other folks go and fight this war.

sorry but if you sincerely feel that Mccain was qualified then you need to be put out to pasture with him-- The only thing he might be qualified to do is to pull a hairball from his cats throat and if that qualifies him then ok Hallelujah for him. Maybe back in the 60's or 70's he might've been qualified to take ideas from Nixon-- but oh wait--- it was Nixon who took ideas, bribes, etc....... They are in the same category! And John never knew what he was saying -- that's why he repeated it 3, 4, 5, 6, times~~ over, and over, and over,;;;;; But still he never really made any sense to his words!

coasterfan

Is it just me, or is the REAL racist in the room, Mr. Tbone? I voted for Obama. Not because he was black, but because his platform was the better fit for my beliefs, and Romney and (to a lesser extent) McCain stood for everything I didn't support. It wouldn't have mattered if Obama was green or pink - he would have gotten my vote, and the color of his skin was probably #200 on my list of important presidential attributes. For you, on the other hand, it appears to not only be a big issue, but the only issue. Your comments tell us a lot more about you than they do about the person(s) you were attacking...

meowmix

Ditto coasterfan! Well said. Yeah sure, I voted for Obama because he's black. Not because I'm pro-choice, pro-universal healthcare, pro-all paying their fair share tax-wise, pro-gay marriage legalization, etc....

KnuckleDragger

While I agree Obama wasn't necessarily qualified, I disagree that McCain would have been much better. His recent decisions on policy matters makes me wonder if McCain is not going senile.

No difficulty here, Tom. I don't believe he needs defending. Things have turned around and are going in the right direction. That's what I voted for. I'm all for tracking threats to our country in any way that is necessary. I don't worry that someone is tracking my phone calls or email. Do you really think someone is listening to billions of phone calls and reading all of the email? People are getting to paranoid.

tk: So you admit, then, that George W. Bush, John Ashcroft, and Dick Cheney were right? Interesting...

President Clinton, Feb. 4, 1998

Iraq is a long way from [here], but what happens there matters a great deal here. For the risks that the leaders of a rogue state will use nuclear, chemical or biological weapons against us or our allies is the greatest security threat we face." — Madeline Albright, Feb 18, 1998

"He will use those weapons of mass destruction again, as he has ten times since 1983." — Sandy Berger, Clinton National Security Adviser, Feb 18, 1998

"Hussein has chosen to spend his money on building weapons of mass destruction and palaces for his cronies." — Madeline Albright, Clinton Secretary of State, Nov. 10, 1999

"We know that he has stored secret supplies of biological and chemical weapons throughout his country." — Al Gore, Sept. 23, 2002

We have known for many years that Saddam Hussein is seeking and developing weapons of mass destruction." — Sen. Ted Kennedy (D, MA), Sept. 27, 2002

"It is clear, however, that if left unchecked, Saddam Hussein wiill continue to increase his capability to wage biological and chemical warfare and will keep trying to develop nuclear weapons. Should he succeed in that endeavor, he could alter the political and security landscape of the Middle East which, as we know all too well, affects American security."
Sen. Hillary Clinton (D, NY), Oct 10, 2002

There is unmistakable evidence that Saddam Hussein is working aggressively to develop nuclear weapons and will likely have nuclear weapons within the next five years .. We also should remember we have always underestimated the progress Saddam has made in development of weapons of mass destruction." — Sen. Jay Rockefeller (D, WV), Oct 10, 2002

shucks

Get the timeline right. The inspectors found nothing. Get over it.

S w Rand 2016

So, ignore the fact that the Democrats were lying to us right along with Bush because they all get their info from the same sources? SMH
Oh, wait. You didn't even read his/her comment to which you replied, did you? SMH even more.

shucks

Are you new to this planet?
The Dems and others were given information that the Bush/Cheney lying machine churned out.
Want to debate if the world is flat?

S w Rand 2016

So, you think that the Democrat party leaders were only listening to Bush/Cheney and did not inquire of any other information sources at all when they have their own party members sitting on intelligence committees? That would make the Dem party leaders highly incompetent, at best.
Don't you think it sounds a little too convenient for it to be all their political opponents' fault? You would believe that?

shucks

Perhaps a little too weak to keep the lying Republicans in check.

Spoken like the true leaders of our country, Glenn Beck & Rush Limbaugh! When will intelligent adults actually read the facts and come to their own conclusions. Obama does not need defending at all. We need to start asking when the people we elected to Congress will start doing their job. Did none of them read the Patriot Act before voting on it several times?
And if Obamacare is so bad, please tell me factually why. The problem in this country is no one takes any responsibility for themselves while pointing at others. The answer is leadership, regardless of party.

Per my above post:

Better health care? Better health care? I'm just making this post because that comment makes it obvious you don't have any first hand knowledge of this situation. I purchase my own insurance, I have for years, we received notice that starting in Jan when the great one's Obama care goes into affect my insurance costs will go up 56% for the same coverage. Prior to Obama Care the highest jump I ever saw was 8%, Thank you president Obama!!!

@amazedeveryday
When a president signs a law such as the Food Safety and Modernization Act (which allows the FDA to raid your nutrition supplement store and seize your products with no proof at all that there is anything wrong with them and, even IF there WERE something wrong, allows you to be arrested even if you had no way of knowing) and people say he doesn't need defending "at all," why bother even talking...anymore...about anything?

I also think you need to watch Senator Rand Paul's 13-hour filibuster. It wasn't just about drones (as that was just a way to get his foot on the floor) so, please, get a clue. It was mostly about our right to trial by jury.
EDIT: And on that note, you need to start watching C-SPAN and C-SPAN2 because they broadcast Congress live to the world almost 24/7. When you act like Obama is innocent and it is all the fault of Congress, it makes one think that you rely on media pundits and opinion bloggers to tell you what is happening instead of watching live on TV for yourself. /end EDIT

President Obama is either complicit in exposing us to the potential for terrible injustices to be committed against us (whether by himself or future leaders) or he is incompetent to safeguard the people. Pick one.

Why is it that the person we call the POTUS and "fans" seem to be like our gov't is a "game"?

Last I checked, being POTUS was supposed to be that he wanted what was right for the people who VOTED or NOT VOTED him in. NOT for when he scored a "goal" in some people's eyes..

The presidency of the USA has now become a sport? When should I look for it to be considered in the Olympics?

Mommy25

If I don't like B. Obama and I also don't like H. Clinton .... am I a racist? How about if I also do not like B. Clinton or Bush for that matter .... Is it not possible that I can decide that I do not like a person simply because I DO NOT like what he/she stands for? I Am American ... I am free to have a choice (at least for a while yet). I do NOT make my choices of who I do and do not like based on skin color. I do NOT like Obama but I would vote for Dr. Benjamin Carson in half of a heart beat because HE is a great man. I wish Dr. Benjamin Carson would run for president. I believe he would be a GREAT President.

S w Rand 2016

Isn't he the guy who completely (but politely) destroyed Obama's entire presidency and worldview over breakfast, standing a mere few feet away from the very uncomfortable-looking President Obama at the 2013 National Prayer Breakfast? Ha. Yeah, I love that guy : P
I remember, looking at President Obama's face and, feeling certain that Obama MUST be thinking "I bet everyone in the room wishes THIS guy was the first Black president."

@ Mr. Jackson:

Jim Sensenbrenner (R-WI), one of the authors of the Patriot Act wrote:

“How could the phone records of so many innocent Americans be relevant to an authorized investigation as required by the Act?”

How is it that the left originally hated the Patriot Act, but under Pres. Obama, it has been renewed and expanded along with the NDAA?

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/20...

Isn't it rather odd that under Pres. Bush, the left decried The Patriot Act, but under Pres. Obama, his sycophants have come to embrace it and love it?

Reminds me of a "double plus good" line from "Nineteen Eighty-Four":

"You must love Big Brother. It is not enough to obey him, you must love him."

It seems to me Mr. Jackson that you have jumped the gun on your sarcastic reference to the President as a hero to we libs. Funny thing, last night on world news it was reported the NSA has thwarted over 50 terrorist plots due to it's actions. I was never one that had problems with the Patriot Act under GWB and have no issues with what the NSA is doing now. Call me one of those progressives who take the "better safe than sorry" approach.

JJr12

What if a Republican was President during these scandals? Then what would your tone be?

meowmix

Scandals???? Too much Faux News for you JJ! The NSA is not a scandal to me. The IRS and it's scrutinization of teabag organizations "not-profit" status may have been over-kill but then again, EVERY SINGLE APPLICATION was eventually approved, whereas, not all democratic/progressive applications were. Besides, isn't that the JOB of the IRS-to ensure all the right people are paying their taxes?--Romney would have lost, no matter what--get over it. Oh, and then we have the infamous Benghazi "scandal". THIRTEEN embassies were attacked under GWB--and I'm sure there was plenty of forewarning for a good portion of them! Why the indignation now?? Hypocrites--all of you fauxbots.

JJr12

Really? Ever single application was approved? Where are you getting your information from?

Did GWB ever have an Ambassador DIE during any of those embassies attacks and then LIE about the whole thing?

You want to talk about "Why the indignation now??" Yes lets ask that question. Why is it that when something is going bad for Obama it is everybody else fault and not his? But if the same thing happened to GWB it was his fault regardless of who's fault it was?

You see it's like Regan, when his administration did something without his approval he still stepped up and took the responsibility for the actions of his administration. UNLIKE Obama who doesn't take any responsibility but rather states that he has no knowledge. Like Holder has no knowledge but yet he signed the orders.

Hilliary did the smart thing and got the heck out before Obama could ruin her career for good. Though her "What difference does it make?" comment wasn't good, she won't have to worry to much about it because of the extreme LEFT Media will cover it up for her.

I see you watch and learn from the Left leaning media. Notice how you bring up the Benghazi "scandal" and then immediately leave out all facts about it and try and redirect the topic to how many embassies were attacked under GWB. But to correct you GWB had 11 attacks, Clinton had 1 and Obama had an Ambassador die during his Watch. But the FACTS don't support your cause so you redirect the topic.

This is Obama's presidency. NOBODY can now blame Bush anymore. Blaming Bush is like beating a dead horse. That cart has long gone.

meowmix

The Tea Party, The IRS ‘Scandal’ — And The Actual Facts Of The Case
Specifically, while the IRS delayed confirming the tax-exempt status of some groups, and some also faced additional scrutiny, not a single Tea Party organization was denied tax-exempt status. In fact, the only known 501(c)(4) applicant whose request for tax-exempt status was recently denied happens to be a progressive group: the Maine chapter of Emerge America, which trains Democratic women to run for office. Although the group did no electoral work, and didn’t participate in independent expenditure campaign activity either, its partisan nature disqualified it from being categorized as working for the “common good.”

PROOF ENOUGH??????????????????????????????????????

JJr12

Maybe not denied but not approved either. In other words still waiting.

The Big Dog's back

Another teabagger living in a bubble. Sad.

S w Rand 2016

Even Left winger cable news networks are saying they are still waiting. Feel free to link us to a report if and when that changes.

The Big Dog's back

Get real rand, there are no "left wing" news networks.

There you go again

Hey, Bloggers, this article is about Clapper getting caught lying. Why all the nasty and ignorant comments about Obama, his puppet Jay Carney, and your hate for Fox News? Do you deny Clapper lying (watch the video) and Carney stating Obam's support (watch the video)? Why not comment about Obama's $60-100million dollar African vacation?

The truth hurts!

meowmix

Presidents Bush and Reagan took twice as much and three times as much vacation as President Obama has. Did you whine and cry about it then? No, of course you didn't. The "facts" you get from Faux News gets sucked into it and never come back out again. Only gas comes out instead.

Huron_1969

3X as much vacation time ? where did you get that info. Ridiculous response with no credibility

meowmix

Huron-- Try googling "Who took more vacations as President".

I bet that you wonder about all kinds of silly things that aren't true when it comes to President Obama eh?
