Sandusky Library's Follett House Museum, 404 Wayne Street, will have a Christmas open house from 10 a.m. to noon Wednesday.

All four floors of the period mansion have been decorated by the museum and library staff, with two local garden clubs pitching in to decorate two of the mantels. The theme this year is Colonial Christmas, with lots of greenery and fruit, said Maggie Marconi, the museum administrator.

Expect cookies, Starbucks coffee and a warm welcome.

The museum traditionally has a Christmas open house on the day after Thanksgiving, the evening of the Christmas tree lighting ceremony in downtown Sandusky. Two years ago the museum added the daytime open house.
