Santa Claus must have a soft spot for Sandusky, because he's coming to town again.
The traditional tree lighting ceremony returns from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, but note that there's some new wrinkles.
This time, Santa will help light the tree at Mylander Plaza, then there will be a procession to Washington Park along Columbus Avenue to Santa's usual hangout at the Cookie House. The procession is meant to give everyone a good view.
As in past years, the Sandusky Library Follett House museum will be decorated for Christmas and open to everyone. The Merry-Go-Round Museum also will be open.
And there will be a free showing of the movie "Polar Express" at 7 p.m. at the Sandusky State Theatre.
Here are the streets that will close: Washington Row, Washington Street, Market Street, and Water Street between Jackson Street and Wayne Street. Also, Columbus Avenue between Adams Street and Water Street.

You guys lost, move on
Porch Puppy is right let's give Obozo the same treatment the leftists gave G.W. Bush.
Look, guys, we got enough political stuff from summer on. Can we NOW give it a rest??? PLEASE????? HO, Ho Ho.
Its Christmas Time coming up. The twinkies and Ho,Ho's are gone, so I would like to HEAR Ho, Ho, HO somewhere. Not political stuff. Please???
Jingle Bells and some snow would be nice for a change of pace. Even a fake Santa or two, even if I can't afford a lot of presents under the tree. But I have heard and read enough about politics to last me for awhile, at least until May, ok? Thanks so much. Ho, Ho, Ho to you all. And Merry Christmas or Happy Hanika (pardon my spelling please)
