E-mail to Commissioner Dennis Miller Jr.

Matt Westerhold
Mar 23, 2010

Dear Commissioner Dennis Miller:

I am sorry that we have never had the opportunity to meet, but I wanted to take a moment to urge you to very carefully read the above captioned report. I hope you take the time to do that and question if this was indeed a fair and impartial investigation of the facts, or whether it followed the dictates of an agenda.

I also wanted to mention to you that I met a man at the city commission meeting on Thursday who shared with me his thoughts about this issue and others. He also mentioned he's lived in his home in the 1500 block of Shelby Street for 67 years and said there are eight vacant houses surrounding his home. I drove to his neighborhood earlier today, and sadly, it appears the information he gave me is exactly correct.

I wonder if the more than $40,000 spent so far on the Murman investigation and related expenses would have been better spent to protect our neighborhoods and secure our city's future.

Please feel free to call me anytime. There are a great many other concerns I have regarding this issue, and it would be nice to meet and talk with you about them. Thank you for taking the time to consider my request.

Sincerely,

Matt Westhover

More typical blogging by yourself as in the past. Your profile is easy to follow. Typical of a person like yourself that feels the need to call others names from the comfort of their mobile home. Since that seems to be the extent of your anger , from lack of man grapes I would suppose you need to rest your fingers from pounding the keys sooo hard to let your frustrations out and make your remedial replies.
If someone has to explain about an IP address you need to take windows 101 starter class. You are obviously just a blog surfer from someone showing you the basics and now you feel you are a web master, but you're true to form when all else fails you stoop to name calling. On the lighter side, your wife has explained to me as I have stated to you before, she is a blast coming down here on the boat, and she was the one that figured out who you are. In closing you can name call all you want, since that is the extent of your manly hood, ACORDING TO HER, but whatever you do, keep arguing with your wife so she will continue to come to the marina and entertain me and the rest of us down here. If she is a little late getting home, no need to worry she is in GOOD HANDS..

Glad to see Grubbe and Redfern are getting what they deserve, too bad the party is the one that will suffer but to all of you who supported the dirty politics against Giese who served as a loyal Chair for over 20 years you can blame yourselves!

Hey Matt,

Why can't I find online the Saturday morning front page story about city manager Kline bringing in an agreement for the Marina District project ?????

As far as this blog, if you have something to share with us about Redfern, tell us what it is....don't just drop a hint .....sounds like a gossipy rumor.

You say your job is not done yet. You may feel your job is not done but like it or not I think Erie County is about on its last leg. There is nothing in this county anymore except Cedar Point and the waterparks. I don't believe you commissioners even TRIED to keep the good paying jobs that left this area---all you were concerned about were your own visions and your stupid condos for the rich and one can now look around Sandusky and see the results of this negligence. You also say that every tax dollar counts and we must count every dollar yet the citizens of this County have watched their tax dollars squandered and wasted for YEARS and now its back to WANTING MORE LEVIES PASSED! I'm not voting for you. If you couldn't do anything in 20 years you never will.

How do you feel about the nursing home issue? How do you feel about addressing the concerns of ALL citizens when asked? As a realtor what do you think of all the foreclosures in Erie County and who caused this mess? In Cuyahoga County and Ottawa County bank officials, realtors and title company employees have been indicted in mortgage scams that have been going on for years. Do you think there might be a possiblity that this is happening in Erie County? What is the time frame on these new jobs that you hope to create in Erie County?

Matt,
This is a very interesting topic. I found a better link than was previously posted about Chris Redfern.

http://www.portclintonnewsherald...

According to the news article, "We find that there was clear and convincing evidence that the chairman of the ODP knowingly, and with the intent to affect the outcome of political campaigns, used titles of offices not currently held to imply that candidates on the distributed flyer currently held the office of which was seeking,"

Also in the article, "Redfern, a state representative from Catawba Island, and the Democratic party should not face criminal charges or reprimands, according to the Thursday ruling from the 10th District Court of Appeals in Columbus."

I thought that election fraud was a crime in Ohio. Maybe I am wrong but what was that incident in Cleveland several months ago concerning a couple of poll workers when Mr. Baxter was assigned as a special prosecutor? Most people usually vote for incumbents by nature. Now I am wondering if the wrong people were voted in due to Redfern's violations of voting laws. Whatever happened to honesty and integrity? Where are all those "legal experts" at that seem to know the O.R.C.? Did they all run for cover? Something really stinks here.

COLUMBUS -- An appeals court has upheld a state agency's decision that the Ohio Democratic Party and Chairman Chris Redfern violated Ohio elections law by illegally misrepresenting candidates on campaign material.

Dude, you are a realtor. One of the lowest forms of life on earth. Only an idiot would vote for a realtor.

Obama is a magnificent reader but he can't speak. Biden plagiarizes and has a rapid-fire mouth.

Great ticket to failure.

Personally, I've heard that many hard core Dems ain't gonna vote for 'em.

It is so dissappointing to see Biden selected ahead of Hillary Clinton....and I will not vote for the Obama-Biden ticket.

Kinda of funny... 8 years ago Democrates hammered Bush for picking Cheney. Now Mr. unexperienced (145 days as a Sen.) picks a 30+ Washington vet. Unreal!

You might be a frustrated Democrat, but you sure don't know what has been going on within the Democratic Party. Grubbe has shown her Xss on more than one occasion. Most of the Central Committee doesn't feel she represnts them, due to the manner in which she has handled some issues. If the Democratic Party doesn't find someone else for Chair, it will be forever the political Plum Brook Country Club headed by "political junky" Grubbe. Grubbe hasn't got a clue on the principles of being a Chair. As far as Redfern goes, he'll be gone after this election. Maybe the Democratic Central Committee will send Grubbe with him!

Hillary has been had by Obama. He used her to further his goal. Hillary thought she might win points if she jump on Obama's band wagon only to get doubled cross. Is this who you want for president? Obams needed her votes and the Hillary people are not going to put up with the double cross. Both Mcann and Obama are stinkers. I don't know which is worse to have as president. I absolutely refuse to hold my nose and vote. I am sickened as to the polictical games that were played. We had better people running and they were knocked out even before the games started.

I think the fact that you are a realtor might be a PLUS. Realtors should know the LAWS of real estate and maybe you can enlighten others in this County that DON'T.......

I would like to know the same thing. Front page news and we can't blog on the Marina District. Not fair Matt. You put a kitty cat story up to blog. Something as important as this you don't allow us to blog on Marina District being rammed down our throats with a vote before the public can look at the agreement when it was promised we could take 30 days. Now, we get a vote and then it sets for 30 days and another vote. Who cares about public input when you have already casted a vote. Two years in the making and now it is rush, rush and no chance to really look it over before the vote. Some one is pulling a fast one.

WHO ARE THE SILENT PARTNERS INVOLVED WITH THE MARINA DISTRICT? NAMES PLEASE......

Pat

I'm glad that you have been blessed with a great family, a satifying job and good friends but what does that have to do with your plans for Erie County if elected? Please answer the questions. Thank you.

Murray did not have his own tent. He was under the big tent w/ the Party.

Please, don't write if you don't have a clue.....

I like your very true statement that our communities were not progressing as they should. So what is your opinion on the reason WHY our communities have not progressed?

AND

Pat Shenigo post on Aug 23, 2008 4:26 PM:

You might as well forget about Mr. Shenigo answering any of your questions. I've been waiting for 4 days now (and counting) for he and Ferrell to answer mine and they have yet to do so (see my previous post on Aug 23, 2008 8:37 AM). I'll bet they logs on to these blogs at least daily to read them. They would be foolish not to do so. The bottom line is that they don't want to be held to any sort of accountability.

I'm a registered democrate and I find it interesting that the two republican candidates responded to my questions, but we have yet to hear from the two democratic candidates.

It is sad that as a democrate, I will be forced to vote republican for both commissioner races, the Clerk of Courts race (Barb Johnson definitely needs to be voted out for not doing her job over the past 20 years as well), and Enderle. The dems just haven't had good candidates lately.

I have always voted for the BEST candidate. I NEVER, EVER vote party line.

Now if Ferrell and Shenigo respond to voters questions, i just may change my entire stance on all of this, but as of now why should I?

Go ahead and waste your vote on Ralph Nader, you might as well vote for yourself you might get the same amount of votes. As far as the political games that were played, have you been living under a rock your entire life or is this the first election of any kind you have followed. Politics has been and always will be a dirty game, and I for one couldnt be happier.
By the way I guess we will see if Barry Obama keeps his word and doesnt go negative in the remainder of the campaign...I seriously doubt it.
