E-mail to Commissioner Dennis Miller Jr.

Matt Westerhold
Mar 23, 2010

Dear Commissioner Dennis Miller:

I am sorry that we have never had the opportunity to meet, but I wanted to take a moment to urge you to very carefully read the above captioned report. I hope you take the time to do that and question if this was indeed a fair and impartial investigation of the facts, or whether it followed the dictates of an agenda.

I also wanted to mention to you that I met a man at the city commission meeting on Thursday who shared with me his thoughts about this issue and others. He also mentioned he's lived in his home in the 1500 block of Shelby Street for 67 years and said there are eight vacant houses surrounding his home. I drove to his neighborhood earlier today, and sadly, it appears the information he gave me is exactly correct.

I wonder if the more than $40,000 spent so far on the Murman investigation and related expenses would have been better spent to protect our neighborhoods and secure our city's future.

Please feel free to call me anytime. There are a great many other concerns I have regarding this issue, and it would be nice to meet and talk with you about them. Thank you for taking the time to consider my request.

Sincerely,

Matt Westhover

Tom, you have been on the county commission much to long. It is time to retire you and bring in the new. We need some change and new ideas. You have gained way too much power over the years you have been commissioner and it is time to go.

Mike, If elected, what do you intend to do to improve Erie County? What are your goals? Where do you stand on the nursing home and the jail situation? How about those ankle bracelets and getting this program up and running?

ED… It’s truly frustrating trying to communicate with you, I’ll give you that. My last post contained at least 3 topics for discussion; did you ignore them or just not get it? I can’t tell.

I write too many words? I’m sorry about your attention span, perhaps if you got a longer view of things you might develop some ideas, really, have you actually put forth any in these post. I can’t find any. You’re just as critical as me in your writing style, only not as creative.

As for Mr ED, actually I’ve never seen it, a talking jackass didn’t appear interesting, too many real ones to watch. I didn’t think the analogy was clever, I thought it would irritate you, and it seems to have served its purpose since you mentioned it. Do you own me? You can’t really believe you could offend me now did you?

As for the arena of ideas I think you’ve failed Rush and Bill miserably, but its good to know you’re on their side.

Remember, Ignorance is Bliss, (for your tombstone)

Rick

P.S. Hope this was short and sweet, like you… Bye, Bye Ed

An amazing and uplifting story from such a wonderful and talented young lady. You are an inspiration to many people who may have had a less than perfect day. Think of how nice it would be to see more smiles than frowns! Thanks for being such a great role model..we need more young people like you in our world!

enough

How much more time do you need? After this many years, you still need more time?

Idiot? You must be a Matt lover...or maybe you are Matt. Either way I had to hear all the time how Matt had a crush on her, so he deserves to be reminded about the MORON he backed for so long.....youre pathetic!

Taxpayer

Good! I have LOTS of QUESTIONS!!!!!!!!!

Anonymous

you have accommplished nothing and have a little knowledge about nothing. The taxpayers are tired of seeing your Beach Boy look on a 50+ yr old. Take your sorry show back to repairing a TV. We're tired of helping you pay your child support with a high paid part time job for doing NOTHING!

Anonymous

you better understand the scope of the job as a Commissioner. You have little to zero involvement in schools! Sounds like you spent more time on your public relations than on your understanding of the position you are seeking! What will you do with the mess at Job & Family Services? That place has been a MESS that has continued to be covered up and daily people of this county are hurt by their lack of understanding of their jobs and customer service to citizens. You present no details!! Come on Clara, where's the beef?

Just your typical collection of collectivist thugs.

Oh how wrong you are my fellow little blogger! I am NOT a Matt lover nor am I Matt (I could give a rats a$$ about him).

I am just a blogger who is SICK AND TIRED of hearing about the Nuesse crap!

By the way have you noticed the most recent article on this which was posted Monday ("Depositions begin in Nuesse civil service case") has only 55 comments so far. GOOD! That just shows others are getting tired of this as well. Keep her fired, away from Sandusky and let's move on to other, more interesting stories.

I don't even bother to read the articles or the comments on that topic anymore.

ENOUGH OF NUESSE ALREADY! ! ! ! !

Now since you had me completely wrong, how about an apology?.............

Word from within the county employees is that he is hardly ever in the office. He has taken a part time job and made it into almost a NO TIME job.

Much the same way Clerk of Courts Barbra Johnson has been doing her last 20 years in office. They are both robbing the tax payers by collecting their salaries and not doing any work!

They both need to go! !

Let's see if the democrates in Erie County can see how Ferrell and Johnson are not doing their job and actually vote for the BETTER CANDIDATE instead of voting down the party line.

When you get out into the real world you'll realize why most people don't smile.

the Dude

What a great blog! It is truly an inspiration to us all and the highlight of my day! Thanks so much Michelle!

Well, Tom, after 20 years your job should have been done if you had actually been doing anything. Like the groundhog that comes out of its hole once a year, you come out of yours once every four years when you run for re-election. I hope the voters have wised up and will send you packing. I am a life long Democrat but I have zero intention of voting for you no matter what you write on here because what you say means zilch.

Nice blog Michelle! You put a smile on my face.

" Aren't they really saying that clothes ARE important by trying to make them NOT important? "

NOW, THAT IS THINKING OUTSIDE OF THE BOX! I JUST WANTED TO GIVE PROPS = )
BY THE WAY, THE OLD EXPRESSION OF, "CLOTHES MAKE THE PERSON" IS OLD & STUPID. PEOPLE MAKE THE CLOTHES, BUY & SELL THEM, WEAR THEM AND WELL CLOTHES ARE JUST FABRIC, PRINTS & TEXTILES THAT DIFFERENT PEOPLE CHOOSE DIFFERENTLY. SOME PEOPLE ARE ALL ABOUT THE STYLE BUT I AM MORE OF A COMFORT KIND OF PERSON. THAT DOESN'T MEAN THAT I DON'T HAVE STYLE. IT JUST MEANS THAT I'D RATHER BE COMFORTABLE THAN FASHIONABLE.

Great blog, Michelle!
Smiling, like laughter, is contagious. I don't think many people realize the effect that their attitude, good or bad, has on others. Have you ever been in a really great mood and then someone with a negative attitude comes around? Either you can cheer them up with your optimism or sometimes they will bring you down to keep them company in their misery.
Sure, we can all think of something that's depressing and sure some people are more succeptible to depression... but who wouldn't rather think of their 'personal Hannah' rather than doting on things they can not change? In doing so, we may be creating changes ourselves! We might change the way someone percieves us or life in general; we may even influence change in others; best of all, we could possibly lift someone up who is feeling down, simply by sharing our own happiness!
Smiling is a great method of 'Paying It Forward' and I thank you for doing just that today = )

What's you name tough guy?

CM

what a positive blog. yes, a smile goes a long way. whenever you smile at someone, watch them smile back most of the time.
i believe most people don't take the time to appreciate the little things in life..the good things. i know bad things happen to good people, that's life. you have a choice to either dwell on the negative or "smile" about the positive.
let me tell you working in the service industry can be a hard job at times. i make it a goal to put a smile on someone that looks like they need one. the thrill and MY pay-off is that they leave with that smile. don't get me wrong it doesn't work all the time, but when it does it's worth it.
so SMILE, and try to focus on the positive.

CM

i agree, i love the humor. most of the blogs here are boring, negative, ignorant and just plain stupid.
so, thanks for making me smile..
i wish i had a goofy neighbor. well, mine is goofy but not funny--LOL

Where's your list of things that have "backfired" tough guy?? You wouldn't have enough guts to say those things in a public forum now would you?? You probably don't even vote!!! Or you are one of Westerhold's hacks.

This whole thing stinks and if I was candidate for commissioner I wouldn't even do it. Just the Register's way of degrading certain candidates.

Smiles go a long way. Nice and positive article.

This dude is history! He has done NOTHING!

I am not voting for this guy. He was not a good commissioner. Everything he has done has back fired.
