E-mail to Commissioner Dennis Miller Jr.

Matt Westerhold
Mar 23, 2010

Dear Commissioner Dennis Miller:

I am sorry that we have never had the opportunity to meet, but I wanted to take a moment to urge you to very carefully read the above captioned report. I hope you take the time to do that and question if this was indeed a fair and impartial investigation of the facts, or whether it followed the dictates of an agenda.

I also wanted to mention to you that I met a man at the city commission meeting on Thursday who shared with me his thoughts about this issue and others. He also mentioned he's lived in his home in the 1500 block of Shelby Street for 67 years and said there are eight vacant houses surrounding his home. I drove to his neighborhood earlier today, and sadly, it appears the information he gave me is exactly correct.

I wonder if the more than $40,000 spent so far on the Murman investigation and related expenses would have been better spent to protect our neighborhoods and secure our city's future.

Please feel free to call me anytime. There are a great many other concerns I have regarding this issue, and it would be nice to meet and talk with you about them. Thank you for taking the time to consider my request.

Sincerely,

Matt Westhover

Regarding specific questions about the Erie County Care Facility; there is a unique way to have your questions answered very well.

The care facility is having an infornmational event tonight, Tuesday (8/26) from 5:30 P.M. to 7:30 P.M.

You can also buy a spagetti dinner while you are there. I am sure that the director and other employees will be there to answer questions.

The Truth

the port clinton paper is running the redfern voter fraud article. Every body that wants to post go there, they also have the article about the pib businessmen being arested. You get better news out of that paper

J

Wow, michelle! You must be doing pretty good! You can typically judge success by how many jealous haters you have, and your blogs are full of them!
HEY HATERS!
Keep it up! She must have hit pretty close to the mark to get you guys all riled up like that!

Yes, I believe that this article was previously posted. What's up with that????

In regards to why Erie County has not made the progress it could have; I suspect there are many reasons for this. From my perspective, I feel that that many of the leaders in our communities have not been progressive or visionary enough.

It takes a lot of courage for a community to go into an unknown future. It seems more appealing to try to return to the successful days of the past.

I know that we really don't have the opportunity to go back, to the great days of the past. We really have to start looking ahead to the great days of the future. We have the ability, geography, and people to make a bright future for ourselves.

We (all of us) just need to collectively develop a positive attitude about this and be willing to do the hard work necessary to find the right path and make the bright future become a reality.

I would like my enthusiasm, energy and dedication to give people the courage to move forward rather than look back to the great days of the past.

Why does everyone keep saying Michelle is picking her nose? You obviously need glasses. Her finger is far from her nose. It is so sad that grown people have nothing better to do than pick (no pun intended) on young teenagers who are trying to actually do something with their life.
I see nothing wrong with this blog. I, too, try to smile at everyone I pass. It can make a difference in someone's life. I think her article is very realistic. And did you stop to think that maybe it isn't her fault that the article ran twice? Why did you read it again if you already knew what it said? Grow up people.

what do you think about redfern guilty of election fraud and the Sandusky Registers refusal to run it when all other neighboring papers running it

My thoughts

" what do you think about redfern guilty of election fraud and the Sandusky Registers refusal to run it when all other neighboring papers running it "

I think it's a darn shame. Why don't you tell me what he did and how he should be punished. I would quit buying the paper and reading the online edition if it bothered me as much as it bothers you-- I would just go away on a vacation and not let another crooked politician cause you so much strife.

Hey Tom, list ten things that you have accomplished in your 20 years as a commissioner. I bet you can't.

Anonymous

OK Mr. Ferrell, I will give you the benefit of the doubt. Since there is alot of garbage between the good questions that voters have asked, I will take the time to compile all these questions into one blog comment thread so that you don't have to go from comment - to - comments seeking out the questions. It is MY public service to YOU. That's ok, you can thank me later.

Here we go:

From: Who to vote for wrote on Aug 20, 2008 2:17 PM (by the way, that's me):
1) Please elaborate on what is your vision for Erie County.

2) If re-elected as a county commissioner, what do you hope to accomplish while serving the people of Erie County? "

From: Mr. Ferrell wrote on Aug 24, 2008 9:40 PM:
3) What is the time frame vision for the creation of these thousands of high paying Tech jobs? What are your views on the Nursing Home issue?

From: TOM wrote on Aug 25, 2008 12:01 AM:
4) If you are not going to answer any of the questions that have been asked at least have the decency to explain why.

From: Tom wrote on Aug 25, 2008 12:02 PM:
5) There are questions here that are NOT nasty or offensive. So why aren't they being answered? I think its way past time for you commissioners and a LOT of people in Erie County to be ACCOUNTABLE to the people that ELECT YOU.

From: Mr. Ferrell wrote on Aug 25, 2008 3:11 PM:
6) Who are the investors in the Marina District project? Thank you.

From: Dear Mr. Ferrell wrote on Aug 25, 2008 10:52 PM:
7) Is an attorney by the name of Dennis O"Toole involved in any way with the Marina District? I'm still waiting to hear your views on the nursing home and jail issues. Thank you.

From: Mr. Ferrell wrote on Aug 26, 2008 12:18 AM:
8) Did you pay a visit to the Erie County Care Facility with Mr. Hayberger and Mr. Printy?

Well, there you have it Mr. Ferrell. I went through and posted all the the questions voters have posed to you so far. So all you have to do is go down each question (1-8) to answer them.

It doesn't get any easier than this.

Here we go:

From: Who to vote for wrote on Aug 20, 2008 2:22 PM: (by the way, that's me):
1) You said in your blog that, "Jobs, Schools, Seniors, the Business community…all deserve attention.
Please elaborate and tell us how these areas need attention (I'm assuming you mean in terms of improvements) and what you plan to do as a commissioner in these areas to improve them.
Also, if elected as a county commissioner, is there anything else that you hope to accomplish while serving the people of Erie County?

From: Pat Shenigo wrote on Aug 23, 2008 4:26 PM:
2) You say that jobs, schools, seniors and the business community all deserve attention. We already know that so could you please elaborate?
3) I also noticed that you did not promise to address any concerns of the citizens. Don't you feel this is important?
4) You say you want our children to be able to afford to come home to live, work and raise their families here. I don't see this happening. People can not afford to live, work and raise families in a County that has become nothing but a tourist community full of waterparks and minumum wage jobs. What exactly are your plans to try and remedy this situation?
5) What are your views on the nursing home issue?
6) How do you stand on the jail issue? 7) What are your views on the horrific amount of foreclosures in Erie County and why it took so long for the Common Pleas Court to try and remedy it? Your blog admits to the problems in this community but does not elaborate on any proposed remedies you might have.

From: Pat wrote on Aug 24, 2008 2:06 PM:
8) I'm glad that you have been blessed with a great family, a satifying job and good friends but what does that have to do with your plans for Erie County if elected? Please answer the questions. Thank you.

From: PAT wrote on Aug 25, 2008 2:09 PM:
9) What are your views on the issues regarding the Erie County Care Facility?
10) Do you feel its fair to the taxpayers to burden them with MORE TAXES especially with the economy the way it is?
11) Can you give me three good reasons why I should vote for you?
12) If I have a concern are you going to respect it?
13) Do you promise to address any or all of my concerns?

From: PAT wrote on Aug 26, 2008 12:22 AM:
14) Regarding the EFFC. Did you accompany Mr. Hayberger and Mr. Printy when they visited the Care Facility?

Well, there you have it Mr. Shenigo. I went through and posted all the the questions voters have posed to you so far (Aug. 20 @ 2:22pm - Aug 26 @ 12:22 AM). So all you have to do is go down each question (1-14) to answer them.

I'm a life long democrate and I really want to vote for you. However, because you refuse to answer these voters questions, I have no choice but to vote for the republican candidate. Come on Mr. Shenigo, don't make the democratic party look bad!

Redfern is in Denver helping to run a lemonade stand with his cohorts. Sounds to me as if Redfern has little patience. Figures that he never gave a dam* about our area and Ohio while jobs just continue to dry up. At least Redfern will always have a job as long as people keep electing the bloke.

Did Redfern call Matt up again and tell him that he was "trying to be cute" again? I can't wait to read about the letter. Maybe the letter was about asking to help run the lemonade stand.

Dave Geise, what a joke. He was the Democrat chair when nobody wanted it. Now that it means something, He was booted. Geise could not be trusted and has no morals.I wish he would stop writing the blogs about himself. If you want the truth about him, run the record search on the sandusky, huron and vermillion courts. Geise What a Joke.

I read that blog too. Then just like that it was gone. Maybe the SR is trying to protect Grubbe. She must have her claws into them too.

Questions not answered. Tom, you probably don't know this blog exist.

Geise couldn't be trusted and had no morals. Do you know the Democratic Chair Grubbe?? Giese couldn't hold a candle to Grubbe and her unethical ways.

bet she smiles at everyone--she a teenybopper, she prolly gives them the finger.

I can't stand it when someone tells me to smile!!

Seven days and counting and Pat & Tom still haven't answered any of the legit questions on here asked by the voters/tax payers (their potential employers).....(sigh)..........

No reason to get so da$% defensive, just asking a question. I would figure it was much more the SR's "fault" than Michelle's anyhow. I don't really hate what she writes, she has a lot of courage to put herself out there. However, it's out there, so people are going to comment on it one way or another. At least she's not writing, "grow up people'" and assuming ignorance because questions have been raised or an opinion isn't the same as hers. That would be a much more teenager-like thing to do rather than try to get her thoughts in print. Believe me, I didn't read the entire entry twice. It only annoyed me twice since, as I agree with a few other posters, I too hate it when people tell me to smile. I smile when I feel there's a reason to smile. I'm allowed to say that. It doesn't mean that I hate Michelle, I don't know her. I read things on here and there is a forum to comment on it, so I do. I think it's funny that her writing and the comments about it pi@# people off. If she didn't want people to share their views, she probably shouldn't have started writing this. She obviously isn't as bothered by comments as you since she hasn't commented about or changed her picture. People are also allowed to attempt to be funny on here, because of course it is obvious that she isn't picking her nose, thanks for pointing that out, captain obvious. Why read the comments if they bother you so much? Just enjoy, or not, Michelle's writing. If you choose to read the negative, questioning, funny, or want-to-be funny comments, those comments have just as much right to be there as your attempt to scold people.

Anonymous

Huh...the only positive difference YOU can make in someone's life is to STAY OUT OF IT!

I agree with "dig deep", it looks like picking, but maybe you are correct "ignorance", maybe she isn't picking, maybe she is eating?

Anonymous

Michelle, I don't know WHO your friends and acquaintances are, but I see hundreds of people smiling everyday. However, it is not people your age that is for sure I notice.

The thuglife tone that so many of your friends have adopted is a dead end. Tattoos all over your faces, necks and limbs are ultimately going to bite you in the behind in future career choices. I see that everyday with people trying to find jobs. Employers are polite and nod and take your applications, BUT I can tell you this, THEY ARE NEVER GOING TO HIRE YOU! Good luck.

Worrying about whether the public smiles should be way down on your list of concerns. You should be encouraging your peer group to GET AN EDUCATION and not mutilate their bodies to attempt to look tough.

This is nothing new to your generation even though, like all young people, they think that they invented everything because it is new to them. WRONG!

You laugh at older people and dismiss them as worthless, but honey we did nore than you know and are proud of the miles we have traveled. SO when you dismiss older people and worry about why your people don't smile, take a look at home.

From what I have gathered from your writings, you are no angel since you have felt the need to apologize for school actions on your part.

Good advice?
Don't say anything that you wish you hadn't.
However, say what you want and hold your ground if it has worth.
In other words,
pick your battles wisely!

Re: scam. I do not have any knowledge of a scam involving attorneys, realtors, and title companies. Suggestion, if you have evidence of such, then present your material to the proper authority.

to "another stupid analogy":
Get a life!
It sounds too me like you were a big loser in high school and haved blocked out any memories of being a teenager. You sound as if you totally dispise teens.Your not even talking about anything relevant.Since when can you not get a job due to tattoos?
I know plenty of (very) successful people who have tattoos! One of them being myself.
I would much rather hire somebody to work for my company that has tattoos rather than someone so negative as yourself. It's more about your attitude, work experience, work ethics and how you carry yourself. Granted, some do require no "visible" tattoos, but most don't.
This girl seems to have a good head on her shoulders along with still enjoying her youth.Quit being so negative!

RE: concerns on ECCF. This is the information I found out about Medicaid and Medicare. Medicaid is paid an average amount for all residents. The reimbursements are based on the average of those residents. Presently, the rate is $144.00. It has been frozen at that amount for the last 3 years. The semi-private rate is $150.00. Medicaid pays 75%, Medicare pays 10%, and private pays 15%. Medicaid does pay medicine for residents and is included in the monthly payments. Medicaid does pay surgeries, however, secondary coverage may also be billed. Please call the ECCF administrator for more details.

Re: scam I did present my evidence to the Court and its a matter of public record that the Court ignored it. As a Realtor I'm sure you know that according to OHIO LAW if an administrator of an estate is aware of any fraudulent transfers on property then BEFORE THE PROPERTY CAN BE SOLD an action is to be commenced in the Common Pleas Court of the County in which the property is situated to acknowledge the fraud so the property can be sold with a CLEAR TITLE.
As one of three owners to inherited property I made numerous complaints to the Common Pleas and Probate Court that the other TWO OWNERS were parties to a fraudulent transfer of half the property (a matter of public record) that intentionally cheated a 4th person. I requested that the fraud be acknowledged and the property be put back into the CORRECT Estate of my mother's.
My complaints were IGNORED and the Court ruled in favor of the ATTORNEYS that wanted the property to be sold at a Sheriff's Sale, NOT because of bank foreclosure, but because of DEFECTS IN THE TITLE caused by the illegal transfer.
An Erie County Realtor bought the property at a SUBSTANTIAL DISCOUNT. (one would think a Realtor of all people would have enough sense to do a title search prior to bidding on property ) His Erie County attorneys are now WHINING that the poor realtor can't obtain title insurance because of CLOUDS over the title caused by the complaints made PRIOR to the Sheriff's Sale. (???) Yet the Title Search Report shows that the reason the poor realtor was REFUSED title insurance was because first and foremost--an INVALID TRANSFER of one of the owners half to the property, (a POA falsely stated to be on file in Erie County with NO POA on file) second--an incorrect Preliminary Judicial Report that did not reveal the INVALID TRANSFER and third--a 4TH beneficiary to the property was DEFRAUDED AND HAS A LEGITIMATE CLAIM AGAINST THE PROPERTY.
What's your opinion on the DISHONEST ETHICS of this?

Tom

In relation to the ECCF. It's important to make sure that the elderly residents of the ECCF are receiving excellent day to day care but what about financial abuse of the elderly and incompetent at this facility? Do you feel this is an important issue? What about attorneys and financial instituions assisting in Mecicaid fraud? Do you consider this to be an important issue?
