"I am requesting funding for Put-In-Bay Ferry Terminal yard upgrades in fiscal year
2009. The entity to receive funding for this project is the Put-In-Bay Township Port
Authority, located at 1494 Langram Road, PO Box 278, Put-In-Bay, Ohio 43456. The
funding is directed to the Put-In-bay Township Port Authority to develop the Marine
Travelift for the Sandusky Ferry Shipyard will be able to lift, remove and place any
vessel landside that is up to 200 feet in length or up to 700 metric tons. I certify that I do
not have any financial interest in this project".

Doofus I believe that Sandusky is in Erie County.  Maybe you missed it when you did your epic cut and paste effort.

If you click on the link, you realize that she is speaking about Iraq in 2003.  Iraq in 2003 had nothing to do with 9/11 or al Qaeda.  This nuance has escaped Bush supporters (who now call themselves Tea Partiers) for a long time.  Or perhaps you know all this and were just participating in the Right's misleading of the American public.

Either way, just want to let you know, Kaptur was speaking of how a lot of people in Iraq would see bin Laden and how it would be dangerous to inject ourselves needlessly into an area with a terrible secular dictator (Hussein) and a large religious population.  She didn't say that bin Laden was like Washington.  She said, that to some religious zealots in the middle east, he is revolutionary figure.  And that is a dangerous recipe to get involved in if we don't need to.  History shows she was right to warn us of htis.

@ Esquire:   Who gives a "crumb" about 2003? Past history.   Mr. Iott said, “We’re broke,” – THAT’S all I need to know.   The man gets it, unlike the current Congressional airhead who’s long overstayed her welcome.   News of the “present”:   “Demand for home refinancing loans fell for the sixth time in seven weeks. The MBA's seasonally adjusted index of refinancing applications decreased 11.2 percent.”   Yikes!   http://www.cnbc.com/id/39755696

Without a housing rebound, this economy whether Obie chooses to believe that he somehow miraculously  “inherited” it or not is headed down the elevator shaft with his hand on the lever.

To the blogger that gets his name from a feminine hygiene product, I left the port authority story in for comic relief. The bay's port authority is so financially strapped, that they can't staff the airport and barely cut the grass. Let's see, Miller Boat Line has four vessels, the Jet has four vessels and Palladino has what, two to three. That's not a big possible client list. How in the world do the companies fix their vessels now? Egad we need Marcy's pork now. The Miller boat line sent the Put-In - Bay to a fully functional dry dock facility in Cleveland where the boat was cut in half and lengthen 20 feet, and the porkulus queen thinks we could get those skilled people here for a big lift, what a moroon

Much has been written about the tax burden on US corporations, the second-highest of any country in the world. The Chamber has worked hard to keep this issue front and center, and to support candidates and legislators who understand the economic benefits of keeping taxes low.

Anybody know how to watch the debate again? I didn't get to see the live one. I don't see any "Play Triangle"  at all, just a blank white box where the player should be.

Famous American supporters of the Nazi regime?

Some of the primary and more famous Americans and companies that were involved with the fascist regimes of Europe are: William Randolph Hearst, Joseph Kennedy (JFK's father), Charles Lindbergh, John Rockefeller, Andrew Mellon (head of Alcoa, banker, and Secretary of Treasury), DuPont, General Motors, Standard Oil (now Exxon), Ford, ITT, Allen Dulles (later head of the CIA), Prescott Bush, National City Bank, and General Electric. http://rationalrevolution.net/war/american_supporters_of_the_europ.htm

What ever happened to Food Town?????????????

goofus

Geez Kimo, where have you been? It's out of business along with 20 plus other businesses and factories in Kaptur's district. All the pork in the world didn't save those jobs and this in the queen of pork's district

http://www.factcheck.org/2010/09/who-killed-food-town/

In Ohio’s 9th Congressional District, Democratic Rep. Marcy Kaptur misrepresents the facts when she accuses her Republican rival, Rich Iott, of running Food Town supermarkets "straight into the ground" after taking over as CEO of the company from his father. Her ad attacks Iott for "closing neighborhood stores and costing 5,000 people their jobs." But Food Town thrived with Rich Iott as CEO, and the job losses occurred three years after the company was sold to a larger chain and Iott was no longer in charge.
