City doing bang-up job

Matt Westerhold

Wow. The five charter officers are doing a bang-up job for the city of Sandusky, according to the personnel evaluation forms recently completed by city commissioners. It's as if there was no housing scandal, no police department issues, no firefighters threatening to shoot the fire chief.

Everything is hunky dory in the city.

We asked commission president Dennis Murray Jr. whether the Nuessegate integrity probe launched by city manager Matt Kline and law director Don Icsman was covered in their reviews. "I'm sure the issues were on everybody's minds," our would-be state rep said.

On everyone's minds, Mr. Murray, but not one word mentioned in the performance evaluations. Thanks for sharing.

Commissioner Craig Stahl, who prides himself on a being fiscally responsible elected official, said he didn't think it was appropriate to include all the bad stuff because "those are still ongoing."

You got that right, Craig. The city already spent more than $50,000 on the Nuessegate debacle, and the current appeal process is likely going to cost another $100,000, with hired-gun attorneys from Cuyahoga County and retired Lorain County Common Pleas Judge Joseph Cirigliano getting the lion's share of that big take. And that's just the beginning.

You're doing a great job, too, Craig.

Wow! A $280.00 dollar breakfast for ministers meant that Kim Nuesse was ROBBING THE TAXPAYERS BLIND but Cuyahoga County attorneys and a retired Lorain County judge get $150,000.00 of the taxpayers money and THAT, according to the good 'ole boys, is MONEY WELL SPENT!!!!! Where's your common sense, boys-------do you have any?

You do not have to use your name and e-mail.

Taxpayer

More than half of the attorneys in Erie County are part of the GOB network and the ones that AREN'T are afraid of them. Even more pathetic----it's not just attorneys from Erie County that are part of this dirty network----so are Cuyahoga and Lorain County attorneys. The taxpayers in Erie County don't stand a chance.

Why did you take the cat story off of the blogs? 350 Comments and you took it down? It is more interesting than this crap. Why is this all you ever want to write about? This is my last hit here for you Westerhold, I just wanted to tell you that people want the story back up about the punk killing cats....not that it matters to you though.

SMOOCHY is Craig "I Love You" Stall. Still don't know him? Just watch Barney on tv, Craig is the guy in the purple costume.

I had some Cleveland attorney order a title search on my behalf (and without my knowledge) on property that I inherited and he wasn't even my attorney. Prior to a hearing that I was never notified of (on how the property should be sold) this attorney filed a Motion with the Erie County Common Pleas Court WITHDRAWING AS MY COUNSEL. (What? An attorney withdraws as counsel for a non-client that never RETAINED him as an attorney to begin with?) Yet after the Sheriff's Sale of the property this attorney then files an Oral Motion ON MY BEHALF with the Court requesting his attorney fees be taken out of the proceeds from the Sheriff's Sale for the incorrect (fraud) Preliminary Judicial Report that he filed and he gets it! He then files another Oral Motion on my behalf requesting ALL OF HIS ATTORNEY FEES be taken out of the proceeds of the Sale. That one was DENIED-------and I'm still waiting for this Cuyahoga County CROOK to send me his bill.

The stench of the backroom deals made in Sandusky is getting stronger every day.

raises for everyone!!!! make sure that d. icsman gets the most money...he's the best farmer of legal services the city of sandusky has ever had.

The SR and Mattie aren't accountable to anyone. He's doing a bang up job isn't he Mr. Phares. The prolonged agony of this Nuessegate will live with Mattie for the rest of his life, when she is gone forever. I look forward to someone holding the SR staff ethically accountable some day, as their bias reporting is an injustice to all.....

citizen

I think its way past time to get somebody into this county to put a stop to all this illegal bullsh## that's going on.

Go get them, Matt. Open up Nuessegate like Bernstein and Woodward opened up Watergate. Make these crooks sweat.
Make all of the crooked lawyers sweat!
All hail to Matt!

Hold Mattie accountable, cancel the SR subscription now!

This new version of the SR gets me a little depressed. I have lived in Erie County all my life and the SR was always very well respected. Now it is nothing more than a "Gossip Tabloid" with an Editor that has no idea how to report news people really want to read. Over the past month, we have had several incidents in the city that have BARELY been reported by the SR. A man slams into a brick wall on his motorcycle.....and loses his life. SR never came out. Large fights downtown, nothing is reported in the SR. A major incident on Sunday night on McDonough Street and not one thing has been reported in the SR (was in the Lorain Journal though). BUT there is a Madden Tournament in town and Nuesse's CIRCUS is coming back to town so soon we will all have to endure that torture again. What has happened to this paper?? Is it ALL because of Matt Westerhold?? I doubt it.. I mean he is only one all be it pathetic person. So there has to be more. I think maybe we should leave the Keller Building and knock down the Sandusky Register Building, instead....it'll be vacant soon once the SR goes out of business from all the subscribers that Westerhold has cost them....

It's pretty sad to see someone having that big of a crush on Matt Westerhold....do you have posters of him up in your room? I wouldnt get your hopes up though...his heart belongs to Kimmie.....well I mean so he thinks...

Anonymous

I think we should leave the Keller building and knock down the Erie County Courthouse. They have no RESPECT for the law and they don't FOLLOW the law so what good are they?

Anonymous

For somebody that complains so about the SR you sure are on these blogs enough.........

too many cops post here. I know of a fireman who works for an unconvicted felon until his case comes up, then he should be a convicted felon. a Sandusky fireman. the whole town is crooked

Anonymous

I agree Nuesse will be gone for good soon. Millions of dollars richer though.

Anonymous

Don't make me laugh. Millions of dollars? No way!

Anonymous

Here's an idea Einstein....next time you are in trouble....call a crackhead. I also would beg to differ, it isnt that too many cops post here....it is too many people like you who do nothing but degrade the men and women you call when someone threatens you, God knows you cant handle anything yourself...

What happened?

What is hunky dory? I know what hunky soup is though. Isn't the word hunky rather racist? It is a slur to Hungarians, don't you know. Or maybe not.

Anonymous

Hunky is another word for living in bliss, and a dory is a small sailboat. And once upon a time, a man was relaxing on his dory in a pond, and was in true bliss. Thus the phrase "Hunky Dory" was initiated. Now how bout that!!

Anonymous

In reference to the person that is WHINING that Kim Nuesse sent an employee to DUI school at the taxpayers expense....
Considering how the public officials in this County don't know that fraudulent transfers of property are going to cause DEFECTS IN THE TITLE----maybe Erie County should send these Erie County public officials back to school to take a refresher course on the OHIO LAWS. They might even set them up with some classes on the LAW & ETHICS.

Anonymous

Thank you for that answer. I grew up saying hunky dory, and eating hunky soup,(goulash)but never thought to question there certain sayings come from. But I still don't think that is where it comes from. Sounds good though.

How old is she? how many years does she have to work till age 65 times her current salary times 3% compounded per year, PLUS Sandusky would not have been her last stop, she would possibly moved on to a bigger city, times total above by 5%. Add in punitive damage, add in loss of wages, add in pain and suffering of her husband, add in ALL legal fees....yes, I do believe millions is correct.

Anonymous

Just like the add goes, "Can't stop thinking about her!"
Oh BOO HOO!!! My beloved Kimmy is no longer in the headlines! Can't something be done to avert this travesty of justice? Lets all cry together now... BRING BACK KIMMIE!!!!
