Fall baseball started this past week and I managed to injure one of my ribs last Sunday while coaching at practice.
I tried to make a play in the outfield and went tumbling. Having broken my ribs in the past, I'm quite certain I've done so again.
It's the busiest time of the year at work (Terra State Community College) as classes begin this Wednesday.
Between work and an injury, it'd be easy to blow off this program and make excuses.
That's why I'm thankful to all of my supporters out there who are encouraging me! I can't let myself fail with an audience.
I worked out with my personal trainer Tony Johnson of Keegan Sports Training Academy on Monday and Thursday of this past week and on my own each other night.
It's been very painful and getting worse, but I took my first crack at flipping the big tractor tire this past week. I gave it all I had and had one heck of a time trying to get a full breath of air afterwards.
April posted the video on Facebook and I'm appalled at how fat I look in it.
It just makes me so sad to think about how unattractive I am to look at. Obviously, she loves me or she'd have left a long time ago.
I'm going to talk to Tony this week and possibly go see a doctor just to make sure I don't have any further problems going on.
Perhaps we'll need to adjust the workout program a bit to let my ribs heal.
Regardless, I'm not going to let it stop me. I've seen some encouraging numbers on the scale lately!
