 As the warm sunny summer days speed past us, I am eager to greet this upcoming fall and winter with open arms.

I know as soon as I am finished, I am going to be running, literally, after my 3-year-old as he attempts to cross the road yet again. The girls are whining to take a walk, and the little neighbor kids want to take them all on a bike ride.

If you're truly serious about giving up the pounds, get a set of measuring cups, keep the one that is a quarter of a cup and throw out the rest.  Measure the food, eat ONLY that amount of food every three hours, for a maximum of five small meals in a twelve hour-time frame, and get a watch with an alarm to remind you to eat.  Fast for the other twelve and drink lots of water, it keeps you felling full. This was the method that allowed me to let go of over sixty pounds in six and a half months. Unless and until you are really set to commit to the weight loss, nothing will change. The bigger question is why are you keeping the weight? If you say you're trying to lose the weight, the universe will make sure it finds its way back, so change your mindset.
