Ribs and more

none;text-autospace:none">Good week of exercise. I went to the Columbus Jazz & Rib Fest. How is that for a great combo?

none;text-autospace:none">I had two excellent workouts with my personal trainer Trevor Tieche of Bodi N Balance. He just keeps coming up with new and interesting ways to torture me.

We continue to work on my balance and strength, and I feel like I am continuing to get better at all of it. If I could just get better at the nutrition portion of this whole thing…

none;text-autospace:none">I have an appointment with my doctor and am looking forward to seeing how my blood pressure, etc. are doing. I am hoping to either decrease my blood pressure medicines or get off of them completely.

none;text-autospace:none">My cardio workouts continue to be enjoyable using the bike and the elliptical machines. I have now added some outdoor biking.

During the break in the swim meet I worked in Fremont, I did a 12-mile session on my bike and burned 750 calories with my heart rate steadily in the 135-140 range. My legs felt like Jell-O and my hands were numb afterward, but it was fun.

none;text-autospace:none">I worked out with Trevor on Monday morning and will see him again on Thursday morning for another "fun" session. He is building a kayak out of Popsicle sticks. I guess he can't sit still too long, which may be why he looks like he does and I look like I do. I have had more people asking me how I am doing and giving me positive reinforcement and it is certainly appreciated.

Lets take control of the nutrition situation.  We have got to get our meals in and just say no to some of the bad foods.  Plan plan plan.  The harder you work today the easier it will be tomorrow.
