Help is available, but too few are asking

On Thursday morning I facilitated a forum that explained programs that insulate homes for free, give rebates on energy conservation and devise and give subsidies on electric and natural gas.

We had 26 people attend. What I don’t understand is why didn’t we have 226 people attend? I realize people work, but we have 16,000 people age 60+ living in Erie County. One percent of that group would be 160 people.

So let me ask you this: Did you know that regardless of age, if your gross annual income is no more than:

$21,660 for a household of 1

$29,140 for a household of 2

$36,620 for a household of 3

$44,100 for a household of 4

$51,580 for a household of 5

$59,060 for a household of 6

$66,540 for a household of 7

$74,020 for a household of 8

you are eligible to have your home insulated for free?

If you don’t believe me, check it out at www.wsos.org or call WSOS at 800-775-9767.  Ask to speak with someone about the HWAP program.
