I’m happy to say that I weighed in the week of March 1 at 233.6, only 1 1/2 pounds away from being down 20 pounds. I am starting to accept what the scale is reading when I step onto it. My energy level is finally starting to increase.
I'm still waiting for my mood to change, though. I always hear people saying that they are so much happier and less stressed when they exercise regularly, sure hope that happens soon.
I guess with three kids, a full-time job and attempting to work out four to five times a week, life can be a little stressful. Nothing in life comes without hard work.
Guess it’s time to stop crying and suck it up. I wanted this challenge; no one forced me.
I went to a retirement party for a family friend on Feb. 28 and I was so excited when I looked in the mirror and noticed I looked slimmer.
I also had a man at the party ask me if I was “that girl” in the FIT Challenge. I answered “yes” as my mom and I laughed.
The girls at work tease me all the time about being a local celebrity. I just tell them this is my 15 minutes of fame.
I am looking forward to the upcoming week. I really enjoy working out now. When I'm there, my mind is free from all the stuff I have to do during the day. Exercising is my time; and everyone needs some time to themselves.
I will be starting a new routine in the upcoming week, so I will fill you in next week with the details.
