New goal: 40 more pounds by end of May

Another uneventful week, except that eating in the evening is very tough for some reason. I am doing very well during the day when I am occupied and do not have easy access to food.

The workouts went well last week. On March 4, FIT Editor Brandi Barhite and photographer, Luke Wark, followed me through my workout and got to see a representative sample of what I have been doing. It took about 80 minutes for me to finish and I was tired at the end. I am anxious to see some of the pictures. Trevor Tieche of Bodi N Balance has said that my appearance changes quite a bit during my workouts. He told Brandi if she wanted good pictures to get them early in the workout. I know that some were taken late in the workout, so I hope you get to see those, too.

My strength has increased quite a bit overall and I really enjoy the working out. I wish I enjoyed the healthy eating part as much. I see that Toledo Blade is also highlighting some participants in a weight-loss contest.

The next three months will be important to my overall goal and objectives. I am being inducted into the Port Clinton High School Athletic Hall of Fame at the end of May, and I want to be able to get some new, and much smaller, clothes for that event. My goal is to lose another 30 to 40 pounds by the end of May. Wish me luck and keep those positive comments and support coming in.  I appreciate them and so does Kristin.

The Toledo Marina is handled by a different developer than the one in Sandusky as so noted in the Toledo articles. Explain how the Toledo marina connects up with the Sandusky marina project.

Give back the primo parking spaces covered up by that concrete abomination with the water fontain on it.

'no cost for City Hall' meant no more cost for a new City Hall than it would cost to bring the old one up to code and completely renovated. It didn't mean a free City Hall.

I didn't see anything stating that the City would lease the building, plus this is just a blog (although it isn't much less factual than a standard SR article).

Bringing the Columbus Ave property up to code includes handicap access. ADA accessability codes are part of the building code now.

We elect our officials for a specified period of time. A democracy elects these officials in an open election. We are free to vote for who we choose. But we don't get a say in every decision they make. Our job is to get them into office with the trust that they do it they way way we want. In another 2 or 4 years we get another vote.

I've discovered even if you do post something that pertains to the subject it still gets deleted. Bye Bye SR!!!

Not all of the commissioners were elected by the people. The people spoke and did NOT elect one of them, in a past election. When Crandall resigned this said commissioner was "appointed" by the current commissioners. If it had gone to the ballot, I don't think he would be in there. We said no once. It just goes to show, it's who you know.

Since there were 4 open seats on the commission and 4 people ran at the last election, if none of those people running received any votes would they still get appointed by the reigning commissioners or do they win by default.

Thanks for the insight. I've also heard these episodes called "gray-out". It is a medical issue and can be dangerous. Not a joke at all.

If they were a GOB they would probably be "appointed".

Seems an awful lot of the decisions affecting our city are done behind closed doors! To "Is it any wonder"...Lotsa NERVE THERE! I am happy to be back within the STREETS OF SANDTOWN, WITH THE DREADS OF SOCIETY AND ALL! I am happy that I can now cast my VOTE for those who SAY THEY'RE HERE TO HELP THIS CITY! What do I want for Sandusky? #1 Jobs, decent paying ones. #2 A downtown area that will bring people to it, like the days of old. As well, a view and PUBLIC ACCESS TO THE WATERFRONT! #3 Leaders that TRUELY MEAN WHAT THEY SAY, rather than speaking out of both sides of their mouths! You know, say one thing but do another. Make promises they have NO INTENTIONS OF KEEPING! In the real world, it's called LYING! #4 COUNTY & CITY OFFICIALS that AREN'T HINDERING progress for this city! You see, in POLITICS, it's usually all about WHAT CAN YOU DO FOR ME. IF AND WHEN they can get there heads out of each others behinds and come up for some GOOD, CLEAN AIR, maybe our JEWEL ON THE BAY can really SPARKLE?! That's what I want for Sandtown, WESTSIDE, SOUTHSIDE, EASTSIDE AND THE NORTH! ps If the city did their part, those SLUM LAND-LORDS W/METRO HOUSING would be called to task! Come to think of it though, they have a problem with taking care of their own dilapidated, death-trap property, i.e. Keller Bldng.!

I have a friend who just experienced this while playing basketball. He's 27 and never had it happen before, and he's worried that he might have diabetes, or a blood circulation problem, etc. I've never experienced it, so I started googling it, and came across this article first. I think he'll be happy to hear that it's probably preventable. Thanks for the info.
