Putting off meal preparation is sabotaging progress

The week of March 8 was a great workout week and only a so-so diet week. The workouts with Trevor were some of my best since we began. I completed three workouts, each about 90 minutes. I am beginning to feel a little quicker in my agility drills and much stronger with the weights.

I am a little depressed about my ability to eat as often as I am supposed to because I have not done a good job of planning ahead. I have always been a procrastinator and this personality trait is not helping me to achieve maximum benefit. I am great at hitting deadlines, but I usually have crammed everything in at the last minute, and with this program I must do better at planning.

It is amazing how your personality has so much affect on everything you do or try to do. Not only am I fighting the weight battle, I am trying to change one of my basic personality traits. This is actually proving to be more difficult than I thought. If this was coming as easily as my progress with the training aspect of the diet, I would be much further ahead. If anyone has any ideas for helping me to overcome my procrastination as far as the  meal planning is concerned, please let me know.

I got all three of my workouts in the morning last week and that was much better. I had good energy throughout the day and was able to get to sleep easier at night.

I seem to remember that both Chiefs,Neusse and McClung, stated the fact that software would be incompatible. Then Tom Ferrell came to the rescue with a plan. A 60k study that would be covered by a grant. I hear that that study on joint dispatch is now over 90k none of which was covered by a grant. Now we have gone full circle and the city is back wanting to talk to Perkins about joint dispatch. And Neusse was the dishonest one?

There sure does seem to be a lot of crap going on in our city. I tried to research the two judges that were recommended by Icsman, Cirigliano and Richard B. McQuade. I couldn't find much on Cirigliano but heard that he was very old, closer to age 85 than 80 as posted in the comments. I have to wonder why K. Ronald Bailey is comfortable with Cirigliano. If I were Nuesse, I would have hired an attorney from away and not from Erie County.

From my readings about Richard B. McQuade, I found the following links and they were not favorable at all. I sure would not want McQuade as a judge.

Personally, I think that Nuesse would not go along with the powers that be but wanted to do the right thing. I don't like the way that politics or should I say corruption is running things in our city. Perhaps an organized march around the courthouse to protest what is happening might be a good starting point. All that I want to see is accountability and for the truth to come out. I remember years ago when there was a protest march around the courthouse by a group of fathers for divorce reform. Organize a march around the courthouse as a start. Where are those ministers when you really need them?

It will be interesting to see how Mr. Baxter's office handles the teachers in Perkins School District who committed insurance fraud with tax payers dollars. So if he gets Judge
Cirigliano to hear the case, we all know what that means as well.

HOPE YOU GET A 7 FIGURE SETTLEMENT, KIM!! GOOD LUCK AND GOD BLESS.

I believe Cirigliano also handled the
battle between the Baxters regarding the property and business's after Dr. and Mrs. Baxter passed away.I believe he ruled in favor of Kevin over Ejay.

has anyone involved in this conspiracy ever been fair? I get lost in all the characters and more keep coming. Will someone please write a book.

Matt,

Give it up! No one really cares for your stories on Nuesse-gate anymore. She was FIRED!!!! Let it go already. Maybe she can get a chief's job in another small town somewhere, and then you can go be the editor at that town's paper. That way you can see to it that she is never "wronged" again.

Anonymous

Are you a GOB?? Sound like one to me. What about all the other corruption in this town, you don't care about it. Or are you part of it?

Anonymous

Get your nose out of the GOBs' anuses and smell the roses instead of what you have been smelling, $hit. Never mind, you are full of it, evidently you don't mind it.

Anonymous

First off no I am not GOB, what ever that means. I am just a resident and SR subscriber that is tired of this story line. Yes it is unfortunate that the Chief of Police had to lose her job, but I find it hard to believe that Matt Kline has fallen prey to the corruption as everyone seems to believe. The poor guy took a job believing he was making a better life for his family. Unfortunately he was unaware of the small minded people that live in this town.

Is there corruption in Erie County?...I'm sure there is corruption of some type everywhere. Do I subscribe to the fact that this entire town and county are corrupt.....NO!. It seems to me that when something does not go the way someone wants it to, the same small minded people want to scream CORRUPTION!! We as a community need to get past this and let the poeple we elect and the people we or they hire, do their jobs. That is all Mr. Kline is and was trying to do.

Anonymous

Thanks Matt for not packing it in, keep asking the questions everyone else is just whispering.

Congratulations, Matt! Finally someone with some credibility reiterates what we malcontents have been saying for years. I don't know Ms. Baumgardner, but she must have been too close for someone's comfort to be shipped off to prison in the middle of the night. Maybe the only hope is to have the Erie County justice system declared a criminal enterprise and prosecuted under the RICO act.

IMO

Matt,
YOU TOO, are so deeply imbedded in this controversy, YOU have no business writing another article. You are unable to give a fair and unbiased opinion either.

Anonymous

I agree with you John Doh, and I've said it before and I will say it again, as long as you have the likes of Murray the Murrat, Baxter, and Icsman, running the city, Sandusky will continue to die from the cancer that is bestowed within her by these 3 stooges covering their tracks through manipulation of the judicial system.
Furthermore, Matt what are people to do when Baxter is the only one that can request the Attorney General and he is in fact at the top of the list of one of the cancer causing agents killing Sandusky?

Anonymous

Glad to see you are still writing Mutt. It just continues to make us laugh at how you show that you LOVE HER. It makes us laugh even harder thinking about how you show your school boy frustration each time you write. HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA. You are such a LOSER Mutt.

nice job matt. don icsman's fingerprints are all over the place when it comes to "getting rid" of good people.. when you are as incompetent as he is, (since 1998 he's run a scam on commissioners and the taxpayers)icsman has to take out anyune who could expose him. a full review of his tainted and vindictive past as a person and the misused label, "attorney" would "shock" the taxpayers of sandusky. he is and will continue to be the cancer that has plagued sandusky for 10 years. but remember matt, the commission works for him. this is don icsman's town and it will be until he retires in 5 looong years.

Matt is right - but I think he overestimates the impact of a hearing officer. He doesn't make the decision - he just acts as the referee.

Anonymous

Matt should stop writing about this every week, have his reporters write articles now every other day. The process is in place, whether he thinks it's right or not. Matt doesn't know all of the facts or turns a blind eye to what Nuesse has done wrong. It's quite simple, as she has mentioned in another officer's dismissal...if he(she) can't take responsibility for her actions and her ability to tell the truth and blame others for her own actions, there is no choice but to remove her, as she holds no credibility within the law enforcement community. TAKE SOME STINKING RESPONSIBILITY AND ADMIT THAT YOU MADE SOME MISTAKES..IF YOU CAN'T DO THAT, THIS CITY DOESN'T FREAKIN' WANT YOU.

Anonymous

A lot of times, I have criticized you in the past but I have to agree with you this time, Matt.

"Remember this: A Sandusky city cop received eight MONTHS in prison for repeatedly raping a 15-year-old child, and a woman hell-bent on making Baxter uncomfortable by exercising her first amendment rights received an 8-year prison sentence. It was Cirigliano who sentenced that woman to that long prison term, giving old Kevin exactly what he wanted."

BRAVO MATT!!!!

And I also agree with John Doh wrote on Jul 1, 2008 1:50 PM:

Open up this can of worms WIDE OPEN and bring the TRUTH to light!!! Let's shine the light on these GOBs.

Anonymous

I agree with you, keep up the digging into the corruption in this town. It has been going on for so long people have turned a blind eye to it. They want you to do something else so the corruption can continue. We need people to open their minds instead of returning to the GOB days of old. This town has been run and ruined by a few of the has beens and wannabe's. Keep digging and exposing and you will find how all this ties togeather. All the power people in this town have ties to each other and they wield it.

Anonymous

To Baxter and a LOT OF OTHERS in the very, very Corrupt legal system here in Erie County: I prayed and prayed and prayed that someone would expose you HORRIBLE people sooner or later and I think my prayers are starting to be answered. Thank you, Matt Westerhold.

Great editorial... you are doing the right thing Matt

Anonymous

When are you running for City Commish since you know everything about everything....Oh wait you're not even registered to vote. Okay just sit on the sidelines and snipe at everybody and everything like the rest of these people. You all have bad cases of paranoia.

Anonymous

If that poor little girl you comment about was so scared of that officer, why was it she started dating his son after she was "repeatedly raped"? Fact is you condemn that officer, you have that right. But the real fact is, that officer admitted to his actions. If he wouln't have, he wold have gotten off. The prosecutor even said so,,,,,"No Physical Evidence". So because he was honest and told the truth, he was sent to prison.

That matter and the matter facing Nuesse are apples and oranges!!! Nuesse can see past her inflated ego to admit when she was wrong.

Maybe years down the road she will look back and say, "If I would have only told the truth". Fact is, if she would have told the truth, she might have been able to keep her job. Everyone is entitled to make mistakes, we're human. But poor Kimmie, poor poor Kimmie.

Matt you only write about what she or her lard A$$ buddy Frankowksi has told you. Fact is, most of the things she's in trouble for, was after Lard A$$ retired.

Matt, I think your next job shold be with Penthouse Forum. Your material is about as far fetched as theirs is. Tell me, when Kimmie turns a corner, does she have to signal first so you don't sprain your neck? In the end, you're not even going to get a sniff of those panties!!!!!!!

Anonymous

Apparently you do not watch TV, that is what news commentary is all about. You must be on the other side.

Anonymous

I am neither for nor against Kim Nuesse, but I figured she must have done something seriously wrong to be fired. I have also been critical of Mr. Westerhold's biased journalism regarding Nuesse. But in this case I feel he is correct. Mr. Icsman recommending Judge Cirigliano as hearing officer DOES smack of "good-old-boy" tactics. The city had a golden opportunity to rid itself of it's GOB reputation by recommending a hearing officer with absolutely no ties to anyone on either side of this issue, but it looks like they are indeed intent on manipulating this situation.

Anonymous

Way to go. You show both sides and the GOB nation don't like it. Keep it up, you are not going to please everyone anyway.

Anonymous

I thought newspapers reported the news, not made news. And in the case of Matt Westerhold, makes up the news. Take a small fragment of the truth and spin it to his own left-wing agenda. Only at the Sandusky Register, oops and the National Enquirer.

Elwood

Thanks for continuing to inform the public. It is the only source of info we have available to us. It seems the GOBs are pulling out all the stops to make sure they continue to get their way.
The SR is shinning the light into the dark corners of local government, and the GOBs are running for cover just like the scum bugs they are.
How can the city commissioners, who took an oath to serve the citizens of Sandusky, let this farce with Icsman continue? If they refuse step up and do the job they were elected to do, then it is time to recall the lazy bums.
