Putting off meal preparation is sabotaging progress

Ken Gipe
Mar 23, 2010

The week of March 8 was a great workout week and only a so-so diet week. The workouts with Trevor were some of my best since we began. I completed three workouts, each about 90 minutes. I am beginning to feel a little quicker in my agility drills and much stronger with the weights.

I am a little depressed about my ability to eat as often as I am supposed to because I have not done a good job of planning ahead. I have always been a procrastinator and this personality trait is not helping me to achieve maximum benefit. I am great at hitting deadlines, but I usually have crammed everything in at the last minute, and with this program I must do better at planning.

It is amazing how your personality has so much affect on everything you do or try to do. Not only am I fighting the weight battle, I am trying to change one of my basic personality traits. This is actually proving to be more difficult than I thought. If this was coming as easily as my progress with the training aspect of the diet, I would be much further ahead. If anyone has any ideas for helping me to overcome my procrastination as far as the  meal planning is concerned, please let me know.

I got all three of my workouts in the morning last week and that was much better. I had good energy throughout the day and was able to get to sleep easier at night.

Hey Matt, at least get the Judge's name right! It's Joseph Cirigliano, not Richard!

It appears like the Sandusky Register just might be banned from printing anything else about the railroading of Kim Nuesse. Maybe so the Lorain Journal can print exactly what the GOB's want? Which makes me wonder if the GOB's really believe that Westerhold and the SR are responsible for all the OUTRAGE that is coming from this community? I don't think so. I think the Nuesse case INSTEAD is the straw that finally broke the camel's back....

C'mon tough girl where are you? You want to talk stuff? Where are you? You're such a tough girl, until you get called on something, then you back off. Just like a punk.

Anonymous

???? Wow, That one suprises me. Or...are you just being sarcastic?

Anonymous

????Oooops,,, the 007 part didnt show up...

Haha

How do you like that Matt?? The one judge you didnt want to see is picked and there is nothing you can do about it!!! LOLOLOL!!!! So now you see your worthless comments make no difference and if anything you are a detriment to the "Nuesse Camp". I love when things happen that you dont want to happen....so you love when people write hateful things about you on here because you know people are actually reading your sad column. I am sure it is because people like to read the sad pathetic writings of a little school boy who has a crush on someone who wouldnt give you the time of day other wise. Are you having flashbacks of high school when the cheerleaders always laughed at you while you were writing about sports instead of having the ability to actually PLAY. Now here we go again, doing all you can to impress the hot blonde EX police chief, who thinks youre nerd.....now soon she will be gone.......I think the T-House is hiring dancers, make sure you tell her....

Anonymous

What???? That is ALL the SR reports on anymore....what are you talking about?? Who knows what they will do when this all does blow over, which I am assuming it will SOMEDAY!!!

Lorain Journal is a better newspaper ALLAROUND anyway....better reporters, better writing, better sports...

I can honestly say that I have never encountered a more vicous, hateful person in my life as the one that made the last two comments. There's a new book out that can be found at Borders at the Mall. It's called 23 MINUTES IN HELL by Bill Wiese. For your own sake read it.

The city of Sandusky is dead, leave it to the thugs and drugs.

Way above the national average as far as the crime index is concerned. (FBI Statistics)

A school system that always fails to meet state indicators. 4 out of 30 or something like that.

Hundreds of homes for sale/rent along with falling property values.

Terrible leadership...too many examples.

Poor job creation and a shrinking tax base. Among the state leaders as far as public assistance and unemployment.

Dozens of registered sex offenders all over the place.

A police department that is constantly over worked and under fire from the community.

Crack heads and heroin/meth addicts wandering around misbehaving.

Unsupervised children whose parents could care less about them walking the streets at all hours of the night.

Abandoned homes destroying property values on just about every block.

Loose pit bulls getting shot by the police.

Couches and weight benches on porches.

Litter all over the place....except wahsington park.

etc etc etc etc

SANDUSKY: A NICE PLACE TO VISIT IF YOU HAVE MONEY, BUT YOU WOULDN'T WANT TO LIVE HERE.

Is Law director Don Icsman the president of the Good Ole Boys Club? Every time something happens in Sandusky the trails aways leads back to Icsman. Maybe its time to get rid of Law director Don Icsman.

we need to promote more breeding between the hispanics and the afro americans in sandusky. create a generation that is too lazy to steal. clean up our streets

It is really sad to see what my hometown has turned into. We left a few years ago while we could still get something for our home. It appraised for over 85K and we were happy to get 60K for it. Funny thing is, the house was a block from the waterfront.

Should have been primo property right? Nope not in Sandusky. Meigs Street and all those that run into it are quickly turning into the worst part of town. Check the daily log. How many times do you see E. Monroe, Madison, Jefferson, Adams, and Market in there? Then add the streets that run North and South and you get Perry,Warren,Franklin, Huron Ave and yes..... Hancock.

I am pi$$ed of as all get out with the leadership of Sandusky for allowing what were once nice neighborhoods to turn into the hood. I called down to the City Building constantly to complain about various things and nothing ever got done. I took pictures of run down houses and the activity that was taking place to the housing department. I called the police to report crimes. I wrote letters to anybody that would listen. Finally, we just stopped trying/caring.

It would seem to me that Sandusky has bigger problems to address. The problems is, everybody knows it and nothing ever gets done.

The Nuesee haters complain that their comments are being deleted. Thank you SR for deleting them.

I will agree with your assessment of our community, but only to an extent. Our community is salvagable. It took years for things to get as messed up as they are, and it'll take years to fix it. The marina district is a step in the right direction, so long as development continues to spread throughout Sandusky once the waterfront has been developed.

Dr. Evil

Wow

I havent been deleted in a while, good to know I hit a nerve Matt...you snake! As for the moron who says good job to the SR for deleting "Nuesse Hater" posts.....youre too naive to realize if the SR can sensor us, they will also sensor you when you have an opinion that differs from theirs. Think about it, I know its difficult but try. Anyway, I LOVE having my posts deleted I write them for Matt the idiot to read not you people, so if it gets deleted then it MUST have worked!!! Did po'wittle Matt get his wittle feewings....hurt??? LOL What a joke you are!!!

Anonymous

I have been searching my whole life for someone to look to for guidance and now I have......Matt Westerhold!!! Sure we have soldiers defending our country's freedom...sure we have Policemen and Firefighters protecting our lives and property, but they dont compare to Matt Westerhold, a TRUE AMERICAN HERO!!! Where else can you find a man....uh I mean a person, who can sit in his office chair and write about how everyone else should live and have people sing your praises? He is so VERY brave and I can only hope that one day I can have a little boy crush on someone who would never normally give me the time of day....I mean what more can you say??? LOL PLEASE Matt....Kim has you to choose from or Tim McClung...whatever will she do???? LOL

Anonymous

...like a lot of comments get deleted for no real substantive reason. I agree with mass deletions from the stories that deal with accidental death (in fact I don't think you should allow comments on those stories) and/or contain obsenities, but beyond that, let the comments stay!

Anonymous

Those two comments from you were obsenities and uncalled for and should have been deleted. Grow up!

Anonymous

HAHAHAHAHA. That is totally hilarious. You go girl, so glad you finally found your H-E-R-O. That has got to be the most laughable comment I have seen out of the thousands of Nuesse stories yet!

Anonymous

That irratates me the most! I have seen some horrible blogs in the stories like, Man chokes baby, and the story about Mr. Scally. The SR lets some of the worst blogs on those stories stay and delete the ones they don't agree with here. Why in the world would they let blogs stay in all of the sad stories that are so unkind is beyond my imagination!

Anonymous

I couldn't have said it better. For example, go to the story about the burned boats and read some of the trash people have posted. Very sad...

Anonymous

Cirigliano did not sentence Baumgartner. Markus did not sentence Baumgartner. Shirley Strickland Saffold sentenced Baumgartner to prison for eight years. Why isn't Mr. Westerhold correcting this factual inaccuracy?

Anonymous

The SR needs to think again and practice what they write. The Register doesn't let comments stay on long if they disagree with the Srs viewpoint. We need a newspaper that is honest and inbiased unlike the SR.

Anonymous

you are correct about don c. icsman.. since 1998 d. icsman has controlled the commission and managers.. he only has to flip 4 members to keep his power. when you are as "charming" as he is commissioners have NO chance to irradiate this cancer. he will never be removed. this town is his.

Anonymous

I agree with you, but I have found that when I write things to degrade Matt Westerhold, if they get deleted it means that Matt has read it and knows what people think of him and that is my goal. Those on here who support him and Kim, mean nothing to me, because you could have Kim on video commiting crimes and these people would somehow blame Matt Kline, but Matt Westerhold is getting paid to spew hatred towards the Police Department and he needs to know that no one considers him to be man, he is barely human, but certainly not a man. So when I love when my posts get deleted, it means he read them and I struck a nerve with my comment....that is what I want!!

Anonymous

but when my posts get deleted there is no derogatory remarks, no profane language or anything of that sort. Just my opinion of things that is different than the SR's.

Well, just found that Meijer puts it's weekly ad on their website. To make a long story short, I canceled my subscription to the Register about 6 months ago and was buying the paper on Sundays, mostly to get the Meijer ad. Well, now I don't have to buy it on Sundays anymore! I can read the ad on the Meijer website! This is great!

remember

SMOOCHY MUST GO

Mr. Westerhold DID correct his mistake. Baxter and Barylski corrected theirs also by crossing out and correcting not ONE MISTAKE but SIXTEEN on the grade school Murman Report but not until AFTER it was used to terminate Kim Nuesse. NO WAY was that legal.....
