Not a good month

Ken Gipe
Mar 23, 2010

This has proven to be my most difficult month. I have only lost a couple of pounds. We haven’t done an inch measurement because Trevor Tieche, my personal trainer, has been out of town and I have had to work out on my own.

The workouts have been fine, except that I miss doing some of the work between sets. I tried to make adjustment so I could do them on my own, but I don’t think they were as effective. I think I put more stress on my knees, as they have been sore.

Eating continues to be a problem. With the hours of work, my own tendency to procrastinate and not getting things done at home, I have not planned well and have not lost weight. I am very frustrated with myself, and the support system I have developed, for not being able to make progress as far as the weight is concerned.

I am working hard on the exercise, but I am convinced, now more than ever, that frequency of eating and not feeling like I was hungry were instrumental in helping me get off to the start I did.

I feel like I have lost inches, so I will have to be satisfied with that for the month. I will have an accurate inch and weight report next week. I am off to fly fish for steelhead in northern Michigan for a couple of days and look forward to being outdoors and relaxing with nature. I will have a fishing report next week.

Stahl thinks he is God. He so cocky, smug and arrogant during the meetings it just makes me sick. When Murray was absent from a meeting about a month ago and Craig had to fill in as "prez" he was just blatantly rude to the citizens of this great town. Not to mention I think he got his jollies being in charge. I will celebrate the day Stahl leaves office!

do we have some issues here. Everyone that you disagree with you chide...just like the big spoiled freaking baby you are. You are ruining our community day by day, hour by hour, minute by minute as you try to save your girlfriend's A$$. Good luck Matt.....see you in Hell.

sympathy to m. kline & commissioners..
during the past 10 years one person has run this city...his "body of work" speaks for itself. check the years 1998-present and you will discover lawsuits, discord, probation, resignations, terminations, investigations, and a general malaise that has befallen sandusky. the dark cloud will remain as long as don c. icsman runs the city. he is almost 60 years in age. he has five more years until retirement.don c. icsman will outlast every person who sits at the table at 222 meigs st. this is his domain. it is all so sad. so very very sad.

Some of you can't seem to discern between an editorial piece and an actual news story. When you can read the writer's opinion, it is an editorial. (That's what this is.) As for the poster who stated, "The SR NEVER prints anything true", I guess that means Mr. Damschroder's plane didn't crash, Cedar Point doesn't have a new ride, and there is no such thing as Bike Week. You're just as full of it as the people you criticize.

If it weren't for Matt none of you people would have anything to do all day. You keep things interesting Matt and we like you!!

Anonymous

I guess from what you describe as the difference between an editorial and an actual news story means that the Murman report is an editorial and not an investigation. I have to agree it was an editorial.

Elwood

Matt is doing his job. If it wasn't for the SR digging into this mess, and printing what is going on, we, the citizens that are paying for all this, would never know what is happening. Keep the info coming.
Matt's job is to sell newspapers, and I believe he probably has increased circulation quite a lot thanks to the stupid things happening at city hall, the Nuesse saga, dopey iceman, and all the dumb things Smoochie Stahl and others continue to do and say.
This present group of city commissioners is the best thing to ever happen to Matt.

This all started when Thom Darden was playing in the secondary for the Browns. With only a few seconds left on the game clock, the Browns were leading the Minnesota Vikings by less than 7 points. Fran Tarketon heaved a Hail Mary pass that was caught by Sammy Jones (now known as Ahmad Rashad), with no time left on the game clock, the Vikings scored six points and won the game. Things have never been...wait a minute, what's that you say? That was Thom Darden Jr that got burned by Sammy Jones? Oh...never mind.

Stahl is not the only one on the commission who just does not know what is going on right in front of him. That loud mouth Julie who seems to spout off without knowing what she is talking about is worse then Stahl by a long shot. She was mouthing off about the parking ticket for Nuesse and didn't even know that Kline signed off on it. How ignorant can you be.

bye bye kimmie

Day Westerhold you are ruining this community but what do you care you'll get paid no matter how bad a journalist you are.

dont get it

Everytime I check in to see if anything has changed, and now that the truth is out, thanks to SR and Matt, and still it continues, blaming reporters etc.for ruining this city, I would love to know how many of the Nuesse haters are voting for John McCain, I would bet 100 percent are. You need to get off the computer, and watch CNN orMSNBC, that is where you will get your minds off of Matt etc. If McCain gets in because of idiots, not just Sandusky, but all of America,we might as well move out of the Country. If Kline decides to give Kim back her job, you need to accept that, whether you like it or not.Just as we have had to sit and watch our country become a place we no longer can be proud of, because YOU chose for us to be "BUSHED". Please sit back and get your mind on something else.

Well here is one democart that will be voting for McCain,Obama is a phony like all of the others. He will be another little do nothing, because his wife will be running the show. What a pair of beauties.

Anonymous

It doesn't matter who you get as president, he does not run this country. It is run by the house and senate. He cannot pass laws, only the Congress can do that. Why everyone wants to jump on the bandwagon of Obama is beyond me, he talks a good show but says nothing. He will not be able to do what he says he is going to do because the Congress will block him at every turn. Wake up people.

SMOOTCHY MUST GO!!

Anonymous

Matt, Great editorial. I agree SMOOCHY MUST GO!

Smoochy will be kicking and screaming when he goes. He will not go quietly. Only 18 more months of him.

Does SMOOCHY even know he is in trouble? Does he have a clue?

So interesting newly appointed Sandusky City Commissioner Bob Warner/ Union President being the chosen/selected one.Bob's bring his union experience to the table will be interesting.BOB'S UNION POLITICAL ENDORSEMENTS ARENA INCLUDES DEMOCRATIC POLITICIANS LIKE, Tomas Ferrell Jr.-Dennis Murray Jr.-Bill Kimberlin-Pat Shenigo-Bill Monaghan-Terry Lyons . Bob's track record shows he only endorses Democrats.Bob's endorsements means a lot to the Democratic Party. This could be a conflict of interest when it comes to Union endorsememts & being a Sandusky City Commisioner, being they both are run like a Business and no place for shoddy politicks in the political arena of city business.

Bob Warner is a camera/media hungry loser. He will do anything to get his name in the paper. He won't be able to keep his big mouth shut at the commission meetings. You could tell the first day that he was dying to open his mouth when someone was talking to Julie Farrar. Pretty sure he was passing her notes so she could say what he wanted. Just wait, he will hang himself. He DOES have personal agenda, and it is all union motivated. He doesn't do anything unless there is something in it for himself.

This one won't be voting republican, but then again I guess I am not going to vote at all this year, I don't like either one! Not a Nuesse fan either.

All i can do is laugh at you Matt!! Big bad so called MAN following around a woman like a puppy, who wont want to have anything to do with you once she is ru out of this town, youre a joke Matt HaHaHaHa!!!!Did she at least get you a pretty little pink leash? That is the least she could do right? There is nothing more pathetic than a grown man who is afraid of a woman....

How many columns in a row is this about the Murman report? About 50 or so? Obviously the people in this country care nothing about what you or the rest of the Sandusky Register columnist have to say. Spend your time trying to make a change for the good - and start covering news that matters!

Anonymous

The Monday Night City Commissioners Comedy Hour Group sure pick a beauty
when they put Warner on.

Ed

Looks like Warner is a good old boy.

Anonymous

Definitely

Anonymous

The last time a vote went down there were only 4 running for 4 open seats, remember. Well actually, Warner was going to run but didn't want to take any votes away from the 4 running so they would all get in. I guess you could say they owed him.

Matt Westerhold being the expert journalist that he THINKS he is....should run for City Commissioner. Matt seems to have all the answers and is oh so wise about the ways of the world. In my REAL opinion, I wouldnt let Matt Westerhold shine my shoes. I wouldnt let him walk my dog....

I sometimes wonder how many complaints the SR recieves everyday about Westerhold. I mean in this line of work, are complaints good? Does it mean that the journalist receiving the complaint is bringing attention to the paper, thus making their sales go up? What if people began contacting the advertisers and threaten to not give them any business. Maybe my complaints and those of us who have written formal complaints about Matt make him look actually good to the "Powers That Be" at the SR. I mean if the man has no morals, which he definatly does not appear to have, then where is his incentive to stop spewing hatred. I was always under the impression that a newspaper was there to report THE FACTS and be unbias, was the person who taught me that wrong? This blog is not a "Name Callin'" blog or meant to blast anyone but the person in question MW, I would really like to know of those of you who have threatened to complain about him, did you actually do it and what kind of response, if any did you get???

Since we have such a lack of leadership on the city commission let's move toward two year terms so we are not stuck with a bunch of losers for four years and that way more citizens may have an opportunity to replace ineffective commissioners...

Anonymous

Let's reduce the number of commisioners to three (Same as County). Pay them comparable pay and benefits. I guarantee you won't get four commissioners running for four seats then.
