This past week was OK. Monday the 14th, my personal trainer Trevor Tieche had a workout planned for me at the one of the parks in downtown Sandusky but due to a yoga conference, we were not able to work out.
Tuesday the 15th, the same thing happened, but this time I did some running on my own.I jogged around downtown Castalia without stopping and then did some extra laps on the school track.
Wednesday the 16th, I was going to go to the gym, but I had plans to play basketball at the YMCA, which I am going to do every Wednesday. I think we played about five or six full-court games for two hours straight. It was fun but tiring.
The next day was St. Patrick's Day and that day at the gym was by far one of my best workouts. I pushed myself and went at a faster pace with few breaks in between.
I remember saying I was GOING to lay low this St. Patrick's day but ... the details of that night are quite fuzzy. I bounced back March 19 with a light work out with Derek and Trevor Tieche at Battery Park in Sandusky.
Derek is preparing for the NFL combine so I was defending as he was running some routes. Even though I didn't help that much since a fourth grader could score on me, it was still fun to play football again.
I am buying new pants this week. Everything else is coming along slowly but surely.
The confidence is starting to show just a little bit, I started a conversation with a girl at the grocery store, just a nice conversation. To you people who are reading this, that may seem like it's not that big of a deal, but to me it's a huge step in the right direction, something I haven't done in years. With that said I can't wait to get back in the gym this week. GO DUKE!
